It’s fitting that Dan Rather is best known for bringing to the world a piece of fake news about George W. Bush’s Air National Guard service in Texas, because that’s where he began his career in shoddy journalism. The bungling goes all the way back to 1963 Dallas. His presence there on the day President Kennedy was assassinated helped create the legend of Dan, but he actually blew the story that made his name.

Oddly, had CBS picked someone else for the Dallas episode...Dan’s whole career would have been marginal and limited.

Let’s always remember that historic night when Freeper “Buckhead” posted his doubts about the authenticity of the documents supporting Rather and Mapes claims. Those that were on the board that night watched the thread explode with additional comments. Rathers career and Mapes died that night. They staggered on for a bit like walking dead but it was all over.

In a just society, Dan Rather would not just be a disgraced "news" man, he would be serving life in prison without parole for trying to single handedly throw an election.

But, as everyone on this board knows, Democrat politicians and members of the MSM (same thing, really), have a license to literally kill if they wish and get away with it.
