Avakyants has been seeking to protect his men from deployment - to prevent them from being cannon fodder - according to Volya and Brief Telegram. The admiral had repeatedly resisted or subverted orders to send his men to fight in Ukraine. When forced to do so he allegedly...

Awkward! After someone forgot to switch off a microphone at the end of a Senate subcommittee hearing on Tuesday, July 25, two senators were caught dissing President Donald Trump on a hot mic. Chairman of Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development Appropriations Subcommittee Susan Collins and Sen. Jack Reed were unknowingly recorded discussing the federal budget and calling 71-year-old Trump “crazy” in audio obtained by The Washington Post. “I swear, [the Office of Management and Budget] just went through and whenever there was ‘grant,’ they just X it out,” said Collins, a Republican senator from Maine. “With no measurement, no thinking...

Like a parent gently scolding her warring children, a Family Court judge yesterday told former Gov. James E. McGreevey and his wife, Dina Matos McGreevey, to "use common sense" and to act in the best interest of their daughter as they work through an increasingly rancorous divorce. The McGreeveys, appearing in public together for the first time since the former governor famously declared himself a "gay American" three years ago, sat a few feet apart but spoke barely a word to each other in the packed Elizabeth courtroom. Their only interaction came at the session's start, when McGreevey approached his...

First Patrick Caprice, then Christopher Wiesneski, then Patrick O'Boyle and Erik Hansen, then Dominick Romano and David Harris, then Wiener Philippe, then Dillon Stewart, then Mark Ennis and Peter Verdesi, and now Daniel Enchautegui. The blood of police officers is running ever faster on New York City's streets. Since June, two cops have been shot and killed and nine cops have been shot and wounded in the line of duty. We have paid tribute. We have mourned. And, to our shame, we have moved on. But not this time. This time there's no moving on without tough action. Too many...
