Avengers star Samuel L. Jackson cut two advertisements for left-wing advocacy group Swing Left, endorsing Minnesota and Texas Democrat candidates for Congress. In one of the ads Samuel L. Jackson tweeted, he urged fans to support Democrat Angie Craig who is running for Minnesota’s Second Congressional District. “I got lots of s**t to deal with, but I don’t mind helping out @AngieCraigMN — this election is THAT important,” Jackson tweeted for the candidate adding a link to the advocacy group Swing Left.

Hillary Clinton has hired two political operatives from her 2016 presidential campaign to help manage Onward Together, the project she founded this spring with former governor Howard Dean to fund and support a coalition of Democratic groups led by activists and organizers. Failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has sent $800,000 from her campaign funds to her new political action group, Federal Election Commission filings show. Clinton announced her intent to be "part of the resistance" in May with the formation of Onward Together, a political action group that will fund a number of established "resistance" groups that can quickly counter President Trump with direct action and protests. The group is dedicated to "encouraging people to organize, get involved, and run for office" and advancing "progressive values and work to build a brighter future for generations to come," according to its mission...

A liberal grassroots activist group claims to have raised more than $500,000 in 24 hours to challenge vulnerable Republicans who voted for the GOP's plan to repeal and replace ObamaCare. The group, Swing Left, has been touting its fundraising haul on Twitter as the donations pour in. And it noted in a release that $150,000 of that total was raised in the first hour after the Thursday afternoon vote. Donors gave $100,000 specifically for the eventual Democratic challenger to Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), a top Democratic target who voted for the ObamaCare repeal bill.
