I have an idea- why not send some digital cameras over to our guys and gals in Iraq and ask them to send back some photos for us. I will compile a list of people with servers, who will post the photos here at FR- perhaps we could use this thread for a meeting place. My hope is that blogs and friendly media can pick up the photos and spread them around a bit. What we need are: 1)People and organizations who are willing to donate cameras and get them to our troops. 2)Names of people who can receive the...

Yesterday, President Bush launched his first round of response fire to the Democrats and Anti-War bafoons who have been attacking and trying to take down our commander in cheif, as well as dishonoring and attacking our troops. Fellow FReeper CharlesWayneCT and I had an idea...start a thread that would be reposted daily about "Spreading the Truth" Within the past few hours, Scott McClellan has released attacks on Kennedy and Kerry. It seems something is brewing and we should help out! This thread will be a place for FReepers to co-ordinate call ins to radio stations, letters to editors, rallies, and...

Saddam Can't Wait! Say No to Communism Part V By Wayne Boettcher Posted: 11/04/2005 Why is there a sun? And why must this nearby star concentrate its thermal forces in the direction of Tucson, Arizona like a demented laser beam on steroids, ignoring the season with callous brutality? Yes, it was another searing day as I neared the Military Recruiting Center on November 2, 2005 at 8:15 am for the weekly "anti-war" protest. A few military parents and veterans were already there joyfully supporting the troops and America. Pulling into a likely parking spot, (for which I later received...

RED FRIDAYS ----- Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the "silent majority". We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or over-bearing. We get no liberal media coverage on TV, to reflect our message or our opinions. Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support...

Dude, Where's My Sign? Say No to Communism Part IV The blistering rays of the sun sizzled through the atmosphere, blazing their way past fall skies to strike Tucson with heated enthusiasm. Yes, it was another scorching day in the desert on Wednesday, October 26th as I neared the Military Recruiting Center at Speedway Blvd about 7:10 am. This time I was early as the other side had changed their time to 9:00 am. I was the first one there! Placing my homemade UN flag as a welcome mat, I held up my new computer printed sign: We Support...

Flag Draped Coffin Display Supports The Troops? Say No to Communism Part III By Wayne Boettcher Posted: 10/14/2005 It was Wednesday, Oct 12th at 7:30 am as the desert began to bake the city of Tucson in its asphalt oven. Do I have to say it was sunny? My lovely wife was dropping me off and would soon be back to help. No stranger to protesting liberals, Judy's wit, beauty and demeanor is a blessing whether standing up for America, writing a novel, or cooking a delicious meal. As I unlimbered the massive new "Say No To Communism" ultrasign...

Freeper Canteen On A Mission: AARs Some you accepted the mission, to premeditatedly and purposefully honor at least one member of our armed services on or before October 7th... Here are your stories.... Landry Fan:I did it today!! I was so busy preparing for the Support the Troops & Their Families Weekend that I had to put off visiting the recruitment center. I found out today there was [a recruiting center very close to] my apartment! Is that crazy or what! If I didn't know it was there I wouldn't have found it. I bought several boxes of cookies...

Watch out, Cindy Sheehan may end up on your governor's doorstep By Kevin Fobbs Cindy Sheehan is on another mission and her intent is to literally get America out of Iraq if it kills America and destroys our Homeland Security in the process. Her stated purpose as she begins her rounds around the nation is to take on the nation's governors and browbeat them into submission so that they will pull out their National Guard units one state at a time. Can't you just see the glee in leaders of Al Qaida's eyes as they support her new and improved...

Anatomy of a Photograph An analysis of a single seemingly innocuous photograph, and the pervasive media bias it reveals. My photo essay of the anti-war protest in San Francisco on September 24, 2005 was not the only report done about the event. A few other outlets ran their own coverage. But the one photo from the rally that was seen by the most people was this: Why? Because the San Francisco Chronicle, which had the only mainstream media coverage of the rally, published this photograph on its front page as a teaser for their article about the event. Now, let's...

...I am absolutely furious at Cindy Sheehan... My understanding is that Mrs. Sheehan's son volunteered three times, including the mission that finally took his life. My son didn't volunteer for the mission that took his life. Her son was killed in the line of duty and should receive all honors that go with that sacrifice. My son was killed (28 Jan 05) protecting the Iraqi people during the preparation leading up to the elections in Iraq. My son died four days shy of his 21st birthday, and he was killed by friendly fire. Now let me ask you, who has...

QAIM, Iraq - U.S. troops battled insurgents holed up in houses and driving explosives-laden vehicles in a second town near the Syrian border Sunday, killing 28 in an expansion of their two-day-old offensive chasing al-Qaida fighters along the Euphrates River valley, the military said. Al-Qaida in Iraq claimed to have taken two Marines captive during the fighting and threatened to kill them within 24 hours unless all female Sunni detainees are released from U.S. and Iraqi prisons in the country. The U.S. military said the claim appeared false. "There are no indications that the al-Qaida claims ... are true," Multinational...
