In early May 2020, there was a brief exchange of machine-gun fire on the DMZ (DeMilitarized Zone) that separates North and South Korea. One unexplained aspect of the incident was why one of the South Korean weapons failed to fire when ordered to do so. The faulty weapon was a Super aEgis 2 RWS (Remote Weapons Station) in a concrete tower that can fire automatically at people trying to sneak across the four kilometer wide DMZ.
