A sizable blast has occurred in the Emam Bargha Ptima mosque in Kandahar, Afghanistan, The Washington Post reported. The explosion, caused by a suicide bomber, left at least 32 dead, a local health official said. More than a dozen people were injured when a suspected suicide bomber blew himself up outside a Catholic church in the Muslim-majority archipelago of Indonesia on Palm Sunday, the first day of the Holy Week. Three Israelis were killed Saturday in a suicide bombing on a major shopping street in Istanbul, Turkish media report. At least one other person, an Iranian national, was also killed. Multiple people have been reported injured after an explosion in a historic district of Istanbul popular with tourists, Turkish media reported Tuesday. Private NTV television said the explosion in the Sultanahmet neighborhood was close to a park that is home to a landmark obelisk.
