California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed several bills Saturday aimed at bolstering the state’s protections for LGBTQ+ people, a day after issuing a controversial veto that was criticized by advocates. . . . . . A third requires families to show that they can and are willing to meet the needs of a child in foster care regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

hough Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) events at local libraries are presented as innocuous, family-friendly gatherings that help elevate historically oppressed sexual minorities, their real purpose is deliberately subversive. “The drag queen might appear as a comic figure,” Chris Rufo writes in a recent expose in City Journal, “but he carries an utterly serious message: the deconstruction of sex, the reconstruction of child sexuality, and the subversion of middle-class family life." According to queer theory advocate Gayle Rubin, traditional concepts of sex and gender were mythologies constructed by powerful, heteronormative forces that sought to persecute those with non-conforming sexual orientations,...

WASHINGTON, June 15 (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden on Wednesday signed an executive order aimed at curbing discrimination against transgender youth and drying up federal funding for the controversial practice of "conversion therapy." Biden's executive order asks the federal health and education departments to expand access to gender-affirming medical care and find new ways to counter a flurry of bills passed in U.S. states by conservative lawmakers this year that ban these treatments for transgender youth.

BUDAPEST - Hungary amended the definition of family in its constitution Tuesday to allow an effective ban on adoption by same-sex couples, another win for the ruling conservatives but decried by one pro-LGBTQ group as "a dark day for human rights." The nationalist Fidesz party of Prime Minister Viktor Orban has worked to recast Hungary in a more conservative mold since winning a third successive landslide in 2018,and anti-gay verbal attacks and legislation have become common. In recent years Orban, facing a unified opposition for the first time, has doubled down on propagating his increasingly conservative ideology, deploying strong language...

The Chinese government has banned all depictions of gay people on television, as part of a cultural crackdown on “vulgar, immoral and unhealthy content”. “No television drama shall show abnormal sexual relationships and behaviours, such as incest, same-sex relationships, sexual perversion, sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual violence, and so on.” The ban also extends to smoking, drinking, adultery, sexually suggestive clothing, even reincarnation. China’s State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television told television producers it would constantly monitor TV channels to ensure the new rules were strictly adhered to.

Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE), which scored $2.75 million in federal grants during 2012, has used a portion of its taxpayer funding to produce and post online “…a video specifically aimed at teenagers that promotes bondage and sadomasochism.” On its “For Teens” page, PPNNE claims the organization is “…dedicated to protecting the sexual health of teens by providing accurate information, opportunities to explore and establish beliefs and attitudes, and the skills to communicate their needs.” And what better way to “protect sexual health” than with a video which exalts sexual perversion, especially when hosted by giggles groupie Laci...

The left has hijacked MLK's dream. For decades now, this pleasure-based, sex-centric political movement – delineated by deviant sexual appetites and behaviors – has ridden his coattails. They've dared to equate demands for celebration of bad behavior to Christian notions of racial equality. They've perverted the genuine civil rights movement to fit their own disingenuous designs.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The New Mexico Attorney General's Office cautioned parents against an Internet image they said is really a sexual menace called the "pedobear." It started out as a joke, but authorities said the bear has spiraled into something much darker and more evil than they could've imagined. Some images depict the pedobear snatching a little girl, dangling a carrot over two children and joking about not using condoms. "This is the most disturbing one of all, it has the bear and it says, 'Too young to talk, too young to testify,'" said Lynn Southard with the AGO. Authorities...

“First base, second base, third base, home run,” Al Vernacchio ticked off the classic baseball terms for sex acts. His goal was to prompt the students in Sexuality and Society — an elective for seniors at the private Friends’ Central School on Philadelphia’s affluent Main Line — to examine the assumptions buried in the venerable metaphor. “Give me some more,” urged the fast-talking 47-year-old, who teaches 9th- and 12th-grade English as well as human sexuality. Arrayed before Vernacchio was a circle of small desks occupied by 22 teenagers, six male and the rest female — a blur of sweatshirts and...

It has been 47 years since the passage of the Civil Rights Act, and 46 years since the passage of the Voting Rights Act. And yet the political leaders of this nation of liberty cannot seem to muster the courage and principle to sweep away one remaining example of institutionalized, government-sanctioned discrimination: The 1996 law that denies the right of marriage to same-sex couples. The law, the Defense of Marriage Act, was passed in the heat of election-year fear and bigotry against men who want to marry other men, and women who want to marry other women. It was a...

In February of 2009, the Soros-funded Open Society Initiative for East Africa, in partnership with Media Development in Africa (MEDEVA), boasts that it “successfully broadcast the first ever television program featuring sexual minority rights in Uganda.” The Open Society Institute said the program was necessary because “Uganda is a country that currently criminalizes homosexuality and commercial sex work, and has repeatedly made efforts to silence sexual rights activists.”

Appearing on Good Morning America Friday morning, Vice President Joe Biden said the nation's attitude on gay marriage is changing, and that "it’s inevitable there will be national consensus." He told George Stephanopolous the same thing is happening on the issue of gay marriage that happened with "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" in the military. Recently, the President said in a press conference his position on the controversial issue is "evolving": The sentiment I expressed then is still where I am — which is, like a lot of people, I'm wrestling with this. My attitudes are evolving on this. I have...

According to expert testimony before the House in 1963, the 26th of the “Current Communist Goals” was:26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.” That is the way Don Hank began his August 11th article in Laigle's Forum, "Is “Gay Marriage” a Historical Imperative?" The broad brush of intolerance and bigotry are being used to paint those who refuse to accept "gay marriage" as an acceptable legal "right." Proponents claim this has been going on throughout history and it is about time to end the repression and give these hapless, innocent people the legal equality they deserve. Is this...

For the second time in two weeks, a man is suspected of taking cell phone photographs under women's dresses at a Northwest Side Wal-Mart. Martin Matthew Hemby, 20, was released from Bexar County Jail around 6 p.m. Wednesday after posting $5,000 bail. He faces one charge of improper photography. This is the second time San Antonio police have arrested Hemby on suspicion of taking improper photographs at a Wal-Mart Supercenter in the 1600 block of Vance Jackson Road — on July 23, Hemby was arrested, then released the next day after posting $10,000 bail. Hemby's most recent arrest is related...

Mayor Adrian M. Fenty will sign legislation Friday to legalize same-sex marriage in the District at a bill-signing ceremony so historic that his staff scrambled to find the perfect location Thursday. Would it be All Souls Unitarian Church, a Northwest house of worship known for its diversity, liberalism and welcoming of same-sex couples? Would it be Covenant Baptist Church, a predominantly black church in Southwest where husband-and-wife team of Dennis and Christine Wiley serve as co-pastors and support gay marriage? Or would it be a secular site? Late in the day, Katie Loughary, executive director at All Souls, said it...

It does not matter so much what God thinks of sodomy [I have it on good report, that He does not think well of it, despite that modern liberal churches and synagogues have all but sanctified it], but how can the American people accept this new found glory in all things homosexual? Will they allow the Safe School Czar Jennings and his cohorts [members of of GLISN and NAMBLA] to thrust their USDA Approved buggery on public school children? Now that the Jenning' FistGate has been outed, proving that the Gay Lobby has, indeed, very diabolical plans to ramrod (forgive...

The election of a second openly-homosexual bishop in the Episcopal Church hardly came as a surprise. Given the actions of the church in its General Convention this past summer, the question was clearly not if there would be more openly-gay bishops, but when. The Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles answered that question on Saturday, electing the Reverend Mary D. Glasspool of Baltimore as an assistant bishop. She is expected to be consecrated as bishop on May 15 in Los Angeles.Ms. Glasspool was elected on the seventh ballot, winning 153 clergy votes and 203 lay votes. Her election followed the election...
