BUDAPEST - Hungary amended the definition of family in its constitution Tuesday to allow an effective ban on adoption by same-sex couples, another win for the ruling conservatives but decried by one pro-LGBTQ group as "a dark day for human rights."
The nationalist Fidesz party of Prime Minister Viktor Orban has worked to recast Hungary in a more conservative mold since winning a third successive landslide in 2018,and anti-gay verbal attacks and legislation have become common.
In recent years Orban, facing a unified opposition for the first time, has doubled down on propagating his increasingly conservative ideology, deploying strong language against immigrants and Muslims who he says could upend European culture.

Stay strong Magyars.....Would like to see a modern day Attila the Hun roll through Europe with no Pope Leo 1 to negotiate...target the EU.
One good side-effect of the COVID is that a creepy Soros-backed annual European Woodstock carnival has been cancelled.
I think I know where I’m going to move when the time comes.
Watching FB reactions to this story. Typical one from Catholic libs: “Well, I know several gay couples whose children have ‘two dads’ and they’re doing just great!”
The pervs can always go to a different country to do their phony adoptions.
Yep, I know what you mean.
This world has become so liberal, so politically correct, that we aren’t allowed to say that a traditional family is better than other family arrangements for children. We aren’t allowed to say that it’s better for children to have a father and mother than these 2 dad situations. Heck, we aren’t even allowed to say that the father is presumed to be a biological male any more, because the “dad” could be a “transsexual” female who identifies as a man.
And it’s hard to have discussions about “gay” adoptions. I’ve had some discussions with people, who then delve into side issues such as, our foster care systems are so bad, that kids are better off with a gay couple than foster care.
And I’ve had the discussion with people, where if you say a father is important to children, they delve into the whole “Dan Quayle” thing, and say you are critical of single mothers if you say a dad is important.
Poland, Slovakia or Hungary are definitely on my list.

Here’s a little tip. Read up on the Treaty of Trianon (1920). That infamous treaty is seared into the mind of every Hungarian. Then when you get to Hungary, try to work this statement into conversations: “The Treaty of Trianon was horrible, a terrible injustice.”
Every Hungarian you meet will love you.

Side note: I have Hungarian relatives who were born decades after that treaty was signed. They still get all worked up about it.
Radical feminism, abortion and gay marriage all have one thing on common. They result in depopulation. Depopulation is necessary to conquer countries from within or without.
Oh, and I forgot transgenderism which also results in depopulation.
Certainly not from this Catholic. In fact, I just texted my Catholic girlfriend (from the Philippines) and told her Hungary is another country besides yours that prohibits this atrocity.
Well done. Nice to see a country heading in the right direction.
Love that country!! Outspoken about hatred of communism and socialism. Great beer! History! Good looking babes! Nice country!
Every one must do a night cruise on the Danube in Budapest at least once.
When I was a kid there was a guy in town who ran a Boar’s Head distributorship. On the weekends he raced at Pine Plains, Englishtown, Atco, etc. He called himself the Mad Hungarian🙂
Me too. Up in old Ruthenia in the Carpathians. Uzgerod maybe.
