The assumption is that these people need to be preached the gospel, because they’re sinners. That’s a reasonable inference. What I think we miss is that, most likely, these people—these lovers of self and of money, proud, arrogant, disobedient to parents, abusive… he goes on at length—are within the church.

A closer inspection of the video shows Officer Schroeder’s finger was inside the trigger...

Mirror self-recognition (MSR) is seen as evidence for self-awareness and passing the mark test, in which animals touch or scrape a mark placed on their body in a location that can only be indirectly viewed in a mirror, is used to determine the capacity of an animal for MSR. Aside from chimpanzees, the evidence for other animals having passed the mark test has been criticized and thus inconclusive. By addressing criticisms placed against their previous work on the cleaner fish Labroides dimidiatus, an international team of researchers led by Masanori Kohda from the Graduate School of Science, Osaka City University,...

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. United Educators of San Francisco's Susan Solomon, which represents teachers, said in a statement that the safety standards they are proposing hew closely to "the most recent state and local standards released in the last few weeks." "Any path to bringing students back to campuses will require implementing multi-layered mitigation strategies that consider community conditions and include robust cleaning and updated ventilation systems, asymptomatic testing of students, school employees, six-feet social distancing, and vaccines," she said in the statement. Per the San Francisco Chronicle's Heather Knight, the reopening plan will not mandate vaccines for students, the union representatives said at...

Given what's going on in many neighborhoods lately, and given that many governments let criminals do what they want, but go after citizens defending themselves from said criminal thugs and rioting mobs, I would ask people to consider self defense insurance. We all know the nightmare begins AFTER you've had to defend yourself. Its something regular people like us are not prepared for because we're not life long career habitual criminals and may have had zero contacts with police and jail, and being treated like a criminal by cops and the legal system for defending your life and family and...

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. (2 Thessalonians 2:4-5)This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers,...

We spend a lot of time and words on what autonomous cars can do, but sometimes it’s a more interesting question to ask what they can’t do. The limitations of a technology are at least as important as its capabilities. That’s what this little bit of performance art tells me, anyway. You can see the nature of “Autonomous trap 001” right away. One of the first and most important things a self-driving system will learn or be taught is how to interpret the markings on the road. This is the edge of a lane, this means it’s for carpools...

The father then allegedly went outside and purposely drove his Jeep into the building.

Building Self-Assembling Robots With Origami, PowerPoint, and an LED Projector A new photopolymer technique creates self-folding origami structures from PowerPoint slides, which might be used as tiny, medical bots inside the body. By Glenn McDonald May 5, 2017 3:03 PM EDT Share on Facebook Tweet this article Email Origami, the art of paper folding, has been around for a long time. Historians are pretty sure that origami as we know it today — think paper cranes and frogs — has its origins in 17th-century Japan. But it's likely that the roots of the practice date back to 1st-century China. ...

The world's first self-driving taxis will be picking up passengers in Singapore starting Thursday. Select members of the public will be able to hail a free ride through their smartphones in taxis operated by nuTonomy, an autonomous vehicle software startup. While multiple companies, including Google and Volvo, have been testing self-driving cars on public roads for several years, nuTonomy says it will be the first to offer rides to the public. It will beat ride-hailing service Uber, which plans to offer rides in autonomous cars in Pittsburgh, by a few weeks.

Hello Everyone; Once again I have to apologize for not posting when I should. But life just gets in the way of me doing things like this. I do have a couple of different topics for discussion, [and please comment on BOTH of them] 1] How in shape are you? I ask this because I have been tilling in a brand new garden [about 1 1/2 acres] in an area that has never had a garden before. And am I feeling it too. [I have an older tiller ( I was lucky to get it for $20.00 at a yard...
