Police saw Carmon Tussey walking briskly toward a crowded Louisville bar carrying a semi-automatic weapon. With people running away, officers moved in, service weapons drawn. They put the 26-year-old in handcuffs and confiscated his gun. Tussey was later charged with terroristic threatening, wanton endangerment and disorderly conduct, prosecutors said, and could face up to 20 years in prison. His lawyer says he “was engaged in perfectly legal behavior” in the incident last year, raising a relatively new legal argument in the United States that now stands before the courts to settle. That’s because Kentucky made it legal in 2019 to...

A balanced focus group on CBS's "Face the Nation" Sunday morning surely didn't go quite as producers expected when the Democrat and the independent voter both found themselves agreeing with the Republican on key issues, including "woke culture" in schools. The discussion, moderated by anchor Margaret Brennan, started off pretty tame and predictable, with participants describing the effects of a sputtering economy, inflation, and high gas prices on their own lives. But when the topic turned to raising children in America, even Brennan seemed surprised by the level of agreement. What are your biggest concerns about raising children in America...

New gun control is often marketed as “commonsense” rules that save lives – and it works, too, according to the left. A recent drug bust in the Big Apple, however, demonstrates just how ineffective these laws are. The good news for the people of New York is that close to a million potentially fatal doses of fentanyl were intercepted before they could be sold to users, likely disguised as some other less deadly drug.
