In a plan that specifically states it is to "ensure disadvantaged communities" are able to benefit from Joe Biden's new demands for – and spending on – electric cars, the administration is committing $100 million to repair and replace EV charging stations across the country. A report from government watchdog Judicial Watch explains Biden is "subsidizing" the electric vehicle industry with $15.5 billion for which taxpayers will be on the hook. That's in addition to the $100 million for EV charging station fixes, the report said. "The venture will 'ensure disadvantaged communities benefit from upgraded charging infrastructure,' according to the...

Not surprisingly, the hot takes from The Usual Suspects in response to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s speech to Congress Wednesday night were fast and flowing, with the consensus seeming to be that anyone who wasn’t giddy with excitement to the point they were tripping all over themselves to virtue signal their support for Zelensky was nothing short of a “useful idiot” for Russian President Vladimir Putin. Such claims have been a common theme in Democrat/media circles ever since Russia invaded Ukraine every time questions have been raised about the level of U.S. involvement. But as my RS colleague Nick Arama...

{No search results) Can we get an investigation going into this movement? Amazon took them off their donation platform. They have accounts holding at least $60 million just sitting there. No one knows who’s minding the store at Black Lives Matter. No one wants to say they’re the point person overseeing the books. Its co-founders have made very questionable purchases, especially when it comes to real estate. It caused friction between activists and the upper crust regarding the use of funds. One local leader is going to jail for voter fraud. Another was charged with using funds for personal expenses....

The Department of Education revealed in a recent report that it will consider grant applications, in part, based on how "equity" is incorporated into grant proposals. The "2022 Agency Equity Plan related to Executive Order 13985," published Thursday, is part of one of President Joe Biden's first executive orders, the "Executive Order On Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government." The "executive summary" of Thursday's 19-page report reads, "As we enter a new era of possibility for our nation, education must be at the forefront of our recovery, rebuilding and resiliency efforts. To meet this...

In July of 2021, this writer took a little trip through rural Missouri. Besides visiting kinfolk whom I hadn’t seen for far too long, one purpose of my trip was simply to do something else, something different. You see, I’d become something of a recluse and I really needed to just go outside, blow the stink off, maybe even commune with Nature, whatever that is. My destination was a spot near the center of the northeast quadrant of the state, about a three-hour trip by car. The most expeditious route from Kansas City would be to take I-70 to Columbia...

The solar energy industry is telling its pals in Congress that it is willing the lose most of its subsidies. The current subsidy for solar is 30% of the construction cost. To that subsidy, an additional 10% subsidy is available due to special fast depreciation for solar energy plants. The 30% subsidy is scheduled to ramp down to 10% by 2022 and thereafter remain at 10%. This is not a consequence of declining costs of solar that makes the industry no longer in need of such a large subsidy. Solar electricity is a mature industry, and cost declines are moderate....

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is a “highly profitable scam” that “never lived up to the values it espoused,” according to former SPLC staffer Bob Moser. The New Yorker on Thursday published a scathing essay from Moser, now a Rolling Stone reporter, accusing the left-wing non-profit of “ripping off donors” while turning a blind eye to sexual harassment and racial discrimination within its own ranks. The SPLC fired co-founder Morris Dees on March 13 over unspecified conduct issues. The SPLC announced Dees’ firing after roughly two dozen SPLC employees previously signed a letter to the organization’s leadership expressing their...

U.S. greenhouse gas emissions fell 2.7 percent from 2016 levels, according to the EPA. Emissions on a per-capita basis hit a 67-year low last year, federal data shows, and supporters are touting EPA’s data as proof Trump’s agenda is working. EPA’s new data comes on news that, globally, greenhouse gas emissions are set to rise to historic highs by the end of the year, despite nearly 200 countries signing the Paris climate accord.

As the United Nations prepares to issue a dire warning about future global warming and hold summits on the matter, activists are already warning that time is running out to stop catastrophic climate change. For example, The Guardian newspaper warned on Friday the “next three months are crucial for the future of the planet” and that the U.N.’s “[t]wo forthcoming major climate talks offer governments an opportunity to respond to this year’s extreme weather with decisive action.” (RELATED: New York City Filled With Road Signs Flashing Climate Warnings, Including ‘Climate Denial Kills’) It’s only the latest warning from climate activists...

Thursday’s headlines include: “So What Happens to Earth Now?,” “Still Don’t Care? Proof You Should,” “…And More Proof,” “…And Even More Proof” As President Trump announced his plans for the U.S. to exit the Paris climate change accord, the Weather Channel used its website to prove what an extremely bad idea that is.

The outrage against Telus’ support for the carbon tax on social media was swift, as angry customers were threatening to leave the company for its competitors. The new carbon tax is estimated to cost the average Canadian family $1,250 in the first year, and go up from there. In Alberta, the center of oil production in Canada, where the economy has suffered the most from the low prices and where unemployment is high, Telus’ carbon tax cheering tweet was considered particularly callous.

This notion that people are parasites really got started in the 1960’s. A couple of highly promoted bad actors started this environmental heresy. The first was Rachel Carson with her hysterical polemic about DDT and its purported harm to birds and other wild life. Her ideas proved to be, at best, problematic, but millions of people have died as a consequence of the resulting international banning of DDT. The second, and even more dangerous, problem child was Paul Ehrlich. This curmudgeon has even greater responsibility by amplifying environmental hysteria. Ehrlich should have known better. After all, he is a biology...
