Rep. Dave Reichert, R-Auburn, was treated for a subdural hematoma, apparently due to a minor head injury, after being admitted to a Washington, D.C., hospital on Wednesday. His office said Reichert was admitted to George Washington University Hospital after feeling ill. Following an evaluation, doctors performed a procedure to treat a chronic subdural hematoma — collection of blood on the surface of the brain — that was likely the result of a minor head injury. The procedure was successful, and Reichert is expected to make a complete recovery, his office said. He's expected to be discharged in a few days.

Camp Lejeune, N.C. -- Service members shuffled through the doors and filled rows of seats at the Goettge Memorial Field House April 30, to honor a man who risked his life to save his fellow Marines in Afghanistan in 2011. A community college student has been arrested for the abduction, murder and dismemberment of 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway, Colorado police said today. Austin Reed Sigg, 17, was arrested and charged with two counts of first degree murder and kidnapping. Sigg is a student at Arapahoe Community College, according to his arrest report. "Law enforcement received the major break in the Jessica Ridgeway investigation they have been hoping for," the Westminster Police said today. "Late Tuesday evening police received a call that led them to a home near the Ketner Lake Open Space."
