President Joe Biden traveled to an outpatient center on Wednesday with his wife First Lady Jill Biden, according to the White House. Reporters were informed Biden would accompany the First Lady “to an appointment for a common medical procedure at an outpatient center in Washington, DC.”

Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has called on Vice President Mike Pence to initiate the 25th Amendment process to remove President Donald Trump from office. Pelosi suggested that the House will likely impeach Trump based on his role in this week’s attack on Congress if Pence does not act. According to Assistant Speaker Katherine Clark, D-Mass., the House will vote on impeachment articles next week. But Democrats' bid to impeach Trump before he leaves office is not possible under the rules. The Senate cannot begin a trial in its current procedural posture - much less end one - before Trump's term as...

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell delivered some bad news to Speaker Pelosi from the floor of the upper-chamber: …”There will be no haggling with the House over Senate procedure. We will not cede our authority to try this impeachment. The House Democrats’ turn is over. The Senate has made its decision.”… …Now, go make me a sandwich. McConnell in video: ‘The 1999 precedent does not guarantee witnesses or foreclose witnesses. Let me say that again: it neither guarantees witnesses nor forecloses witnesses. It leaves those determinations until later in the trial where they belong. ‘‘I fully expect the parties will...

When Shakespeare wrote that “All the world’s a stage … and one man in his time plays many parts,” he could have had in mind Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.). In 1999, Schumer famously opposed witnesses in the trial of President Bill Clinton as nothing more than “political theater.” Now Schumer has declared that witnesses and a full trial are essential for President Donald Trump, and that any trial without witnesses would be the “most unfair impeachment trial in modern history.”

The vote by the House Judiciary Committee Friday to adopt two articles of impeachment against President Trump makes it clear that Democrats are moving full speed ahead on the road to impeachment – regardless of the merits of their accusations or the integrity of their process. But speeding down this road looks like it will be dangerous for the Democrats, who face the strong possibility that the trip will end in a crash and leave the party with serious injuries that will cause it to lose majority control of the House in the 2020 elections. House Democratic leaders are so...

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Monday that if the House impeaches President Trump he will “have no choice” but to hold a trial in the Senate and a vote on removing the president from office. His comments in an interview with CNBC confirm the position he took in an interview with NPR in March, and the conclusion of a Senate staff memo that was obtained by HuffPost. “Under the Senate rules we’re required to take it up if the House does go down that path, and we’ll follow the Senate rules,” McConnell said Monday. “It’s a Senate rule related...

The Bible tells us that nothing happens outside the work of Almighty God, for He created everything that we see and do not see, and all things are held together by Him. On a side note, there is an Israeli spacecraft named "Beresheet", which in Hebrew means "beginning", aiming to land on the Moon on April 11, 2019. China has already landed a lunar probe on the dark side of this great light that "rules (gives light to) the Earth" at night according to the first chapter of Genesis. And we all have come to understand that the Moon does...

The United States has a long history of voter fraud that has been documented by historians and journalists. Such fraud can make the difference in a close election, and we have many elections – particularly at the local and state level – that are decided by a very small number of votes. Every American citizen who is eligible should be able to vote, but it is equally important that every citizen’s vote not be diluted or stolen through fraud, especially fraud that could change the outcome of an election. Election integrity is fundamental to securing free and fair elections, which...

I know abortion is, I am not sure if late term abortion is in Romneycare? Jesus mercy, our two choices!! in November. How gravely sinful (repent if you have) to vote for anyone who legislates abortion. Look to Jesus, no one else, God's judgment on America is here. Pray for an election miracle.

It is standard procedure for U.S. special operations units, such as the elite Navy SEALs, to be supplemented by Afghan forces during missions against insurgents in Afghanistan, according to the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force-Afghanistan (ISAF). Such forces were in the helicopter that crashed on Aug. 6, killing 30 U.S. soldiers, most of them SEAL members.U.S. Army Lt. Col. Jimmie Cummings Jr., a spokesman for ISAF, told CNSNews.com in an e-mail today that Afghan forces were in the U.S. helicopter that crashed in eastern Afghanistan on Aug. 6 because “the majority of our operations are combined coalition/Afghan missions.”

What is the legal process to have Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi stripped of Speakership?

It's mostly about "process" now - strategies to get the health care reform monstrosity through the senate, into conference with the House, and then the vote for final passage. In Majority Leader Reid's favor; momentum. His beg-borrow-steal-bribe strategy to get the votes simply to kick off debate on the bill in the senate may spell trouble later as Byron York writing in the Examiner asks the question, "Why was it so hard for Democrats to even start health care debate?" "My vote to move forward on this important debate should in no way be construed by the supporters of this...

House conservatives are ready to stop the Senate immigration bill in its tracks with a potent procedural weapon should the contentious measure win passage in the upper chamber. The trump card conservatives may hold is a constitutional rule that revenue-related bills must originate in the House. The Senate immigration measure requires that illegal immigrants pay back taxes before becoming citizens, opening the door to a House protest, dubbed a “blue slip” for the color of its paper. House Republicans used the same back-taxes mandate for a blue-slip threat that derailed last year’s immigration conference. The new Senate bill still must...

Sources on Capitol Hill tell me the Senate may be very close to a deal on comprehensive immigration reform. But as the immigration deal comes together, Senate conservatives are growing uneasy about the state of the negotiations, fearing that Republican leadership will sell out to the Bush Administration and liberal Democrats to give amnesty to illegal aliens. The issue boils down to whether Senate Republicans leaders, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) and Conference Chairman Jon Kyl (Ariz.), will give Democrats a free pass to bring up the bill without ever giving Republicans a chance to review it. Sen. Teddy...

Despite the Abu Ghraib prison scandal, the torture and abuse of Iraqi detainees in U.S. custody has continued, according to a new report released over the weekend by Human Rights Watch. Soldiers told HRW that in direct violation of international law, detainees at one camp "were regularly stripped naked and subjected to beatings, forced exercises, severe sleep deprivation and various forms of degrading and humiliating treatment." The report describes alleged abuses at three different detention facilities in Iraq between 2003 and 2005. These abuses, the reports says, were authorized and routine.

Don't worry, the doctor told Brian Lykins' parents, as he prepared to use cartilage from a cadaver to fix their son's knee. A million people a year have operations that use tissue from donated dead bodies. The nation's largest tissue bank had supplied this cartilage. It was disinfected and perfectly safe, he assured them. But it wasn't. Four days after this routine, elective surgery, Lykins — a healthy, 23-year-old student from Minnesota — died of a raging infection. He died because the cartilage came from a corpse that had sat unrefrigerated for 19 hours — a corpse that had been...

HONOLULU - Legendary Hawaiian crooner Don Ho says he could barely walk, let alone sing, and would have been a "goner" without an experimental stem cell procedure on his ailing heart earlier this month in Thailand. Ho, known for his signature tune "Tiny Bubbles," said he hopes to return to the stage soon. "I'm feeling terrific, 100 percent better," Ho told The Associated Press in one of his first interviews since surgery Dec. 6. "I'm ready to go, but I've got to listen to the doctors. "When they say my heart is strong enough to get excited, I'm on." The...

HONOLULU - Legendary Hawaiian crooner Don Ho was recovering Tuesday at a hospital in Thailand after undergoing an experimental stem cell procedure on his ailing heart. Ho, 75, known for his signature tune "Tiny Bubbles," underwent a new treatment that has not been approved in the United States. It involves multiplying stem cells taken from his blood and injecting them into his heart in hopes of strengthening the organ, according to Ed Brown, a close friend. After the treatment, Ho's vital signs were excellent, but he remained seriously ill and was in the hospital's intensive care unit, Brown said in...
