In 1999, Schumer famously opposed witnesses in the trial of President Bill Clinton as nothing more than “political theater.” Now Schumer has declared that witnesses and a full trial are essential for President Donald Trump, and that any trial without witnesses would be the “most unfair impeachment trial in modern history.”

I admit that it really has gone on long enough and that the dims should be censured in some manner.
Censure in Congress is a meaningless act. The only “censure” that matters is done by the voters when they kick the bassturds out of office.

I believe the Senate will call one person....and that's the whistle blower. We know already that he/she/it lied in the complaint. And we know that Schitt also lied about "contact" with the wb.
In any conflict the part with momentum drives as hard and far as possible. With impeachmentus interruptus Pelousy and the DemonShits lost any momentum they had.
Senate dems will ally themselves with media commies to pressure Senate repubs to give in to their demands.
I was not thinking about censure that is as effective as writing a letter.
There must be some way to punish them.
I understand congressional immunity, but even so one congressman can not shoot another in the middle of a debate and walk iut the door as though nothing happened.
Schiff lying, crazy Maxine’s rants, etc. must have in some way crossed the line of decorum, rules, whatever.
Use their own tactics. Put the finger on the man and then get the “evidence”.
You men to tell me that Schiff never ever even got a parking ticket?
And look at their tax returns and see if they match up with their living style.
I suspect a look at Schiff’s computer would make a maggot puke.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but in Clintons trial, there were 3 witnesses, but all the Senate saw was videotaped excerpts of closed-door depositions.

Don’t expect any live witnesses this time around. It’d be gambling that you don’t lose control of the situation and make things worse.

The Dems impeachment efforts are a bust. Schumer is throwing a Hail Mary pass, hoping for a miracle. Otherwise they lose.

The Dems are in full on Orwellian/1984 Inner Party mode and will emphatically tow the official party line regardless of how many times it changes, or how contradictory it is to previous positions.

I’m pretty sure the three witnesses in the Senate trial back in 1999 were people who had all testified during the House proceedings, and were simply brought back during the trial to give depositions so the Senate lawyers could question them.

I’m afraid you are right. I’m afraid it’s even worse than that. I’m afraid Senate re-pubs will willingly acquiesce and go along with Democrat demands to hold a “fair trial”. And allow hearings and allow for testimony from selected democratic operatives.
What the Democrats want is to keep it running through November. Its all they have.
