Russia invading Ukraine has really helped us on this score.
America, Europe, Asia, we are all back onto strong national defense and we are all moving closer together on what the global military threats are and are all pursuing closer cooperation and starting to see our regional dangers as dangers that we should all be more aware of in a shared sense, with more consideration of helping each other if things get bad enough.
Just the fact that all of our weapon factories are humming along, and warehouses filling with new supplies, and that we all use a lot of equipment and ammo that is interchangeable, means that in a major regional war that if nothing else there could be, or would be, a lot of logistical help from distant allies and friends that aren’t directly involved in the fighting.
America seems to be getting better prepared and growing less alone in the idea of being ready for a fight.
