Carrying of firearms was actually banned in more places prior to the 1990’s . At least here in Texas. We couldn’t even legally carry a handgun in our vehicle unless we were on our way to hunt or to a “sporting event”. Anyone not prohibited by a criminal act can now legally carry here.

Good for you Zathras! I am still here moved away a couple times but came back because I love Oregon. However we do not go downtown like we used to. Everyone knows to avoid it even during the day. The city is an empty shell of what it used to be.
