Consider this: George Floyd was killed by a police officer while reportedly resisting arrest. That police officer is on trial for murder. Daunte Wright was killed by a police officer while reportedly resisting arrest on an outstanding warrant for attempted robbery. That officer has been charged with manslaughter. Ashlii Babbit was killed by a police officer while illegally in the Capitol building. Tha tpolice officer not only faces no consequences, but we are not allowed to know the officer's name. PolitiFact keeps doing “fact checks” against conservatives that acknowledge that they’re using facts, but they’re still False because – well, they don’t like the way those facts are assembled. These factual facts aren’t making the right point. They’re “too narrow.” They "omit context." Black conservative radio host Larry Elder was flagged by PolitiFact’s liberal readers for a June 2 appearance on Hannity where he declared “"Last year, there were nine unarmed black people killed [by police]. Violence directed at cops is being ignored, and innocent victims aren't having their stories told when it won't fit the media's narrative. It has to end. Two terrible things just happened only days apart. In Oakland, during anti-police protests outside of a federal courthouse, federal protective service officer Dave Patrick Underwood was killed in a drive-by shooting that was targeted at the police. Another officer was shot but survived.The killing of Underwood, a black American, has only appeared in a few national outlets—one of which was the Wall Street Journal. Goliath Davis III, whose rise to the top of his hometown Police Department and City Hall made him the city's most influential African-American official, was fired by Mayor Bill Foster this week. Davis said the mayor wanted him out because he did not attend Tuesday's funeral for the third officer killed in the city in 28 days. Yet the former police chief did go to the funeral of the convict who killed the first two officers.
