SAN FRANCISCO -- One San Francisco police officer was slashed by a razor and another had his uniform torn and cheek cut in a clash with Occupy San Francisco protesters Saturday afternoon, police said. At around 3:30 p.m., near the Embarcadero and Broadway, police officers attempted to prevent marching demonstrators from blocking the intersection where MUNI light rail tracks were located.

The protest movement Occupy DC stormed the Washington Convention center on Friday night. About five dozen Occupy DC members gathered to protest the conservative free market group Americans for Prosperity “Defending the American Dream” summit dinner. A half a dozen people were either arrested or given citations. As they tried to force their way into the building, protestors shoved both an elderly gentleman and an elderly lady to the ground. The elderly woman, reportedly 78-year old Dolores Broderson, fell down a flight of stairs outside the convention center. Broderson was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Violence by Occupy Wall Street protesters has spread to demonstrations across the nation, with thousands of rioters arrested and dozens of police officers injured. Pamphlets asking this question and laying out justifications for doing so were left at the Occupy Wall Street location in Phoenix, Arizona and found by a Maricopa County Sheriff Deputy. DENVER – At least seven people were arrested in downtown Denver during a confrontation between Denver Police and Occupy Denver protesters Saturday afternoon. Witnesses say some in the crowd were throwing objects at police, and that a few officers patrolling the protest on motorcycles were pushed off their bikes. No injuries were reported.
