Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents arrested eight more Bangladeshi nationals after they illegally crossed the border in south Laredo. The arrests occurred in an area where agents arrested more than 230 Bangladeshis this fiscal year. “They are not trying to hide or escape,” Laredo Sector Assistant Chief Patrol Agent Gabriel Acosta told Breitbart Texas in a phone interview. “They walk right up to an agent and claim ‘credible fear.'”

EU countries are lining up in opposition to German Chancellor Angela Merkel's open door refugee policy with some countries closing their borders and others establishing strict border controls to try and slow the flood of refugees. Not Merkel. The German leader is defiantly standing by her policy despite the Paris attacks, even though her position is putting enormous strain on her government coalition.

......Which brings us right back to where we started: what do we do about the tens of thousands of unaccompanied children coming across our borders, and even more importantly, what are we going to do about the hundreds of thousands more who will be coming across in the months to come? The liberal mindset that we should take them all in, feed and clothe them, educate them and assimilate them into society is compassionate and well meaning, but as most idealistic remedies, is long on compassion and short on practicality and answers.

A pending proposal from President Obama to create a vast new wilderness area on the U.S.-Mexico border is drawing criticism from Republican lawmakers and local law enforcement officials who say it would significantly impede border security. The Obama administration is set to designate a 600,000 acre national monument in south-central New Mexico to be managed and controlled by the Bureau of Land Management, a federal agency. The designated land will be called the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument, and environmentalists have long-sought the designation.
