Trump just realigned the entire political map. Democrats have 'no easy path' to fix it.

President-elect Donald Trump raised eyebrows when he decided to hold a campaign rally in the Bronx in late May.

The New York City borough has been one of the most Democratic-leaning counties in the country for years. Trump won just 15% of the vote there in 2020 and 9% in 2016. Democrats viewed it as a stunt amid his criminal trial in Manhattan. Some suggested the crowd was made up of supporters far from the borough’s borders.

In the end, the rally stood out not because of anything Trump said or did, but because of who showed up. It was one of the most diverse rallies of his entire political career. And as Tuesday’s results started pouring in, it was clear Trump was on to something bigger, not just in the Bronx but throughout the country. His coalition had changed.

Results so far show Trump winning more than 27% of the vote in the Bronx, shrinking his margin of defeat there significantly. It was the best result for a Republican presidential candidate in the borough in 40 years.

Back in May, one of the Democratic officials who expressed doubt over who exactly showed up to Trump’s rally was Rep. Ritchie Torres, D-N.Y., who represents the district where the rally took place. Those doubts were erased on Tuesday.

“I despise Donald Trump,” Torres said. “I feel like he is a threat to the norms of liberal democracy, but he’s a brilliant politician. He has brilliant intuitions, and he knew that he was making inroads into communities of color.”

Torres said it would be unimaginable for a Democrat to win roughly 30% of the vote in one of the reddest, most rural counties in America, and he said the results necessitate a serious reckoning in the Democratic Party.

The Progressives have taken over the Democratic Party.

"Pragmatists" like Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton need to retake control.

But I don't see that happening until they lose again in 2028 (either to JD or DeSantis).

It’s the Weather Underground folks, who got their Trojan Horse, in Obama, into the White House.

If they truly want to think about fixing it, it’ll have to be without aid of 80% of their cheating system, because that’s what the PDJT Administration is going to be dismantling in the next four years.

Without 80% of their cheating system and absolutely no seasoned bench, they’ll need to (calmly and peacefully) acquiesce to being a minority party for the next 16 years, at least.

Bill Clinton was out there telling the Dems to vote for Harris. saying ‘if we don’t win this election it could be our last time’...

(stolen from the Republicans, which for us was absolutely true).

I am very happy we won, but my joy is tempered by the valid concern for the government which has spent 8 years trying to destroy Trump. The hidden people aren’t going to just let him be.

Their in trouble because their ideas lost.

It’s impossible to fix.

They’ve been cast out.

All they have is stopping Trump from doing what he said he would do so they can blame him for not doing it. That’s it.

Sabatoge the United States of America.

Yes, the Democrat Party “fixing” things is how we got to where we are today.

This is devastating for the Democrats.

Blue-collar neighborhoods in NYC.

And this happened across the country.

People on X are posting pics of people wearing MAGA hats in Greenwich Village and the Upper East Side.

Trump’s 2024 campaign has been a MasterClass of How To Grow Your Brand & Your Party @ The Same Time!
Truly remarkable in totality. One of a kind candidate, who can persevere over so many obstacles and trap doors a-waiting

A reverse Saul Alinsky, if you will.

The problem is too much of their coalition, are hard-core socialists, who cannot leave, so they are stuck with them. While the more centrist parts of their coalition are leaving them, because MAGA’s tent has gotten bigger.

Of course now, the Republicans challenge is managing these new parts of the coalition, so the party can stay united.

MAGA is no longer just a “Conservative” thing. It embraces all Americans who truly want America to be great, regardless of their political views.

The Democrats cast their lot with the people who want to destroy America.

Now the big project is to go and get California. It can be done, if they put in the kind of effort they did in the Swing States.

“threat to the norms of liberal democracy”

Translation: A white man who beats the crap out of communists. The norms of liberal democracy are the Washington Generals who are good losers.

Somehow California needs a-fixin’ though.

There were a few areas of the country Trump didn't bother with, and I don't blame him. Most of California. Washington (state and DC), Oregon, Illinois, and most of the northeast, where Harris will likely get 6-8 million more votes than Trump. Lose by one vote. Lose by a million votes. It's the same loss.
