For some reason, O'Reilly took another cheap shot at conservative blogs the other day, specifically targeting the Free Republic [www.freerepublic.com]. However, it is obvious what the popular television host is trying to do. By attacking blogs like the Free Republic, O'Reilly is trying to position himself as a man of reason, beyond the trappings of political partisanship. Here is a summary. The whole entire NBC family, owned by General Electric, has been by far the most pro Obama network for a long time now. General Electric has been faltering ever since Jack Welch was succeeded by Jeffrey Immelt. The NBC family has been losing money for years. Furthermore, their finance divisions, GE Capital and the now defunct WMC Mortgage, have created billions in red ink. Right now, the company is heavily lobbying the administration for bailout funds. The stock is down near 70% since he took over nearly a decade ago.

Newt Gingrich opines that the war so far in Iraq has been a "failure" by the Bush administration. He also says that the Israeli pullout of Lebanon was a "defeat for the United States and democracy". I was watching O'Reilly last night and he had some guy from CAIR, whining about the use of IslamoFacist used by President Bush, BOR, and others. During the give and take, as BOR is bringing up various countries under Islam law, the guy basically states that being a Muslim is not the same as being Islam. On one point, he says about someone or something, they are Muslim not Islam. To me, they are just playing with words and trying to confuse people. Anyone else see this?

This past Monday night, Bill O'Reilly had Medea Benjamin, the founder of the "antiwar" group Code Pink, as a guest on his Fox News program, "The O?Reilly Factor."
