Hillary Clinton, in her first appearance on FOX News The OReilly Factor, said Barack Obama made the right move by condemning Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. but that she was still offended by the pastors statements.
In the first part of a two-part interview the second will air at 8 p.m. ET Thursday on FOX News Clinton also defended her stances on health care and oil companies and sought to burnish her image as a fighter candidate. Asked about Wright, Clinton said its up to voters to decide whether the mounting controversy over Obamas retired pastor should impact the presidential race.
(Obama) spoke out forcefully yesterday, she told Bill OReilly in the appearance taped Wednesday in South Bend, Ind. He made his views clear, finally, that he disagreed, and I think thats what he had to do.
Obama went on the offensive Tuesday, saying he was outraged and angered by Wrights statements the day before in Washington, D.C.
Clinton matched that outrage and repeated that she would not have stayed in the church if Wright were her pastor. Well, I take offense. I think its offensive and outrageous. Im going to express my opinion, others can express theirs. It is part of just, you know, an atmosphere were in today, she told OReilly.
Wright capped off his recent round of public appearances with a stop Monday at the National Press Club. There, Wright taunted reporters and declined to retract his statement that the government is responsible for afflicting minorities with HIV.
I sure dont believe the United States government was behind AIDS, Clinton said in the Wednesday interview. This is part of the mosaic and diversity of America. I happen to think it is just totally off base
but what people are talking to me about is not

The post-interview pundits gave Hillary very high marks, for her down-home, overwhelmingly relaxed manner.
She's trying very ,very hard to project an affable, likeable persona, as just your everyday adorable, sweet lovable lady next door. But she's ain't foolin' me.
I wish someone would set her straight about her unnerving, incredibly annoying high pitched squeal she's trying to pass off as laughter.
O, puhfreaking leeeeeeeeeeeZE!
Are they going to turn this into "Obama the Uniter" after all?
Life-Is-A-Really-Bad-Movie alert.
Bill should of asked if she approved of Wright being at the white house during her impeached husbands confession that he lied for 8 months to the American People and all the people who trusted in him.
Talk about turning lemons into lemonade.
Friggin Kiss a$$!
It's ok. Really. Let her sell that to the American public.

Clinton was charming.
I usually enjoy O’Reilly’s interviews, but this one with Clinton reminded me of two old high school sweathearts who went their seperate ways and found each other after 20 yrs-—pure poppycock! Bill let the witch bloviate and spin her way thru the interview. I understand Bill’s trying to be a gentlemen, but the joking around was annoying; and he really failed with the lack of follow up questions. Dennis Miller was right..He could have and should have been more demanding, rather than acting like some who found a lost love. Please.
He could not that since he and she agreed only to a limited amount of time and she had to pre-approve the questions with no follow ups. That’s why it was not done live - O’Reilly is in the tank for Clinton.
Hard to watch. uses way too much body space. Very plastic.
I thought there were no rules established. Am I wrong?
The next time you get to watch Hillary, notice how she tries so hard to appear jolly, good natured, please observe the way she responds to any particular comment in this giggling, cackling high-pitched squeal, that is so palpably fake. its nauseating.
I didn't lose my hearing in the service of my country (and some large bore firearm shooting) so that I would have to listen to Hillary!
I can't hear her.... Sorry.

That was a good interview with O'Reilly. Politics makes strange bedfellows.
She provided some hilarious laugh noises which should prove useful as soundbyte loops for Hannity's and Rush's radio shows. Particularly if she wins the nomination.
Although it might have been funnier if O'Reilly interviewed Amy Poehler (as Hillary).
What she thought: Obama went on the offensive Tuesday, saying he was outraged and angered by Wrights statements the day before in Washington, D.C.
Clinton matched that outrage and repeated that she would not have stayed in the church if Wright were her pastor. Well, I would take the loudmouth sumbitch to Fort Marcy Park and the Park Police would have had another suicide case to close quickly, she told OReilly.
"There are always simple, direct solutions," Clinton added... "But Senator Obama does not have the experience I have."

(now thats rich, as Mrs Clinton is married to who?)

Also, watch her eyes, they bulge, and reveal the real contempt she has for being asked a question, and the depth of how fervently she believes in her misguided sense of fairness.
