After a roughly two-month hiatus, Sarah Palin's "One Nation" bus tour was back on the road this weekend. This time, she traveled across the Midwest, where she learned about past U.S. presidents -- and reacted to developing news about the 2012 presidential race. Earlier this week, the former Alaska governor announced on her website that she would be stopping by the Iowa State Fair on Friday, which put the political world on edge as she was coming to such an important early nominating state -- the day before the closely watched Ames Straw Poll. While at the fair, Palin said...

With most of the conservative presidential field in Iowa today, Eureka residents were surprised to find Sarah Palin touring the Eureka College The bus rolled up around 4:30 Saturday afternoon. It was an unannounced stop on the "One Nation" bus tour of America. Getting off to tour the college campus that Ronald Reagan called home was Sarah Palin, her husband Todd, and her daughter Piper. With none of the security usually surrounding a major political figure, Palin greeted everyone she saw. Then it was time for a tour of the Ronald Reagan Museum in the college's Donald B. Cerf center....

ABC News has confirmed that Sarah Palin will re-launch her “One Nation” bus tour in Iowa tomorrow, the same day that Republican presidential contenders will take the stage for a debate in Ames, Iowa. [...] A SarahPAC fundraising email obtained by ABC News details the former Alaska governor’s plans to “meet folks at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines this week.” “The heartland is perfect territory for more of the One Nation Tour as we put forth efforts to revitalize the fundamental restoration of America by highlighting our nation's heart, history, and founding principles,” Palin writes in the email....

Simply fascinating. You know that things for the Progressive-Liberals are not going so terribly well when the cream of the Liberal crop begin to retract their fatally flawed ideological ideas back into their respective shells much like a turtle under grave duress. Yet this retreat appears to be the latest phenomena with regard to the art of the Conservative refutation. One of the reasons that we began running regular rebuttal pieces was actually based on a lifetime of personal experience. You certainly know the feeling: Minding your own business, meandering through your favorite newspaper when you finally make it to...

It is amusing how the msm and blogosphere jumped the gun over the accuracy of Sarah Palin’s recounting of Paul Revere’s Ride; the night the British soldiers marched (not Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s poem “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere” but the recounting of events as they unfolded, told by Paul Revere himself. Judging from the lamestream media's lack of understanding or reading of history, if they bothered to get it right now (repent at leisure) by researching the history of Paul Revere’s ride, they would most likely take him to task over his spelling. And this brings me to the...

This is just more great video of Sarah Palin in Boston, intermingling with people, handing out constitutions, visiting historic sites. Honestly I love it because I think this is who she really is and the people seem to think so to. They love her! If she runs she will be a force to be reckoned with. And I’m counting on it.

WEDNESDAY UPDATE: YES, SHE'LL BE HERE. Sarah Palin is making plans to be in New Hampshire on Thursday evening. The Granite Status has learned that Palin's staff has reached out to a number of New Hampshire Republicans for a clambake on New Hampshire's Seacoast. Kevin Smith, executive director of the conservative issues group Cornerstone Action, confirmed tonight, “I received a call from one of Sarah Palin's staffers asking whether I would be available for a clambake tomorrow (Thursday) evening on the Seacoast.” He said he was given no further details and expected more Thursday morning. “I appreciate them reaching out...

....Sources tell NBC New York that Palin's highly secretive Northeast tour -- thought by some to be a leadup to a 2012 presidential campaign announcement -- will head to the Statue of Liberty by private boat early Wednesday morning, and then to Ellis Island. Ellis Island closed as an immigration port in 1924, and now has a museum that details the tales of the 12 million immigrants who entered there. Palin said in a blog post on her website Tuesday that she is touring historical sites because "it's so important for Americans to learn about our past so we can...

It’s interesting when (for the 100th time) reporters shout out, “Why are you traveling to historical sites? What are you trying to accomplish?” I repeat my answer, “It’s so important for Americans to learn about our past so we can clearly see our way forward in challenging times; so, we’re bringing attention to our great nation’s foundation.” When that answer isn’t what the reporters want to hear, we’ve asked them if they’ve ever visited these sites like the National Archives, Gettysburg, etc. When they confirm that they haven’t, it’s good to say, “Well, there you go. You’ll learn a lot...

Since Palin and her team won’t share where the potential candidate is headed, reporters and producers have little choice but to simply stay close to Palin’s bus. This has resulted in scenes of the Palin bus tooling down the highway followed by a caravan of 10 or 15 vehicles – including a massive CNN bus – all trying to make sure they don’t lose sight of the Palin bus. It adds up to a dangerous situation, says CBS News Producer Ryan Corsaro. “I just hope to God that one of these young producers with a camera whose bosses are making...

When I first visited Gettysburg years ago, I was overwhelmed with the sense of sacrifice made to secure our union, but my most recent visit this morning was even more significant as subsequent visits allow reflection on the state of our union today. Striking to me is how ready and willing troops and civilians were in 1863 to lay their lives on the line. Are we as ready and willing to accept the call for sacrifice today in order to keep our union secure? Hopefully the kids on school field trips whom we met this morning grasped the poignant irony...

The New Hampshire Republican Party found out Sarah Palin would be coming to town by hearing about it in the news. Where would she be stopping? They didn’t know. Palin’s staff wouldn’t even return their calls, leaving them to ask reporters for more answers. And they’re not alone: With hours to go before Palin’s bus tour is supposed to begin, it’s still unclear what she’ll be doing when she gets to the first stop. It’s even more of a mystery what her second stop will be. Or when. Or why. Once again, the former vice presidential nominee has proven she...
