A National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) document contends that having Kamala Harris as the Democrat presidential nominee spells doom for down-ballot Democrats due to her “extreme agenda” and poor campaigning skills. Jason Thielman, the executive director of the NRSC, wrote a memo on Monday, detailing how Harris as the Democrat presidential nominee creates a “strong down-ballot opportunity” for Republicans. “The case against Joe Biden relied in part on the fact that he was mentally unfit to hold office, which was difficult to translate down-ballot. Kamala Harris owns the Biden Administration’s baggage and is an avowed radical,” Thielman explained in the...

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) highlighted how Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) and his family have engaged in “cynical self-dealing” and “graft.” Casey first ran for Senate in 2006 on a “wave of reform,” promising to “end a culture of scandal and self-dealing” in D.C. Casey then unveiled an ethics plan at the restaurant formerly owned by disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff. Now, Casey is fighting to get reelected for his fourth term in office, where he will face questions about his family’s relationship with his official position as senator. NBC News reported: There’s a brother who registered to lobby for...

National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) chairman Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) warned in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News last month that the Democrats have “radical” power-grabbing plans for the United States if they hold the majority in the upper chamber of Congress. When asked what the plan is for Republicans to combat that potential by retaking the U.S. Senate majority, Daines — the man who leads the NRSC, the party committee charged with doing so — laid out how close the margins are in the chamber right now, but how very far apart the two parties are ideologically.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), the GOP’s official body tasked with aiding Republican candidates for U.S. Senate, is urging them to “clearly and concisely” reject restrictions on in vitro fertilization (IVF). The Alabama Supreme Court ruled last Friday that frozen embryos qualify as children and are therefore protected by state law. “The text of the Wrongful Death of a Minor Act is sweeping and unqualified,” argued Justice Jay Mitchell in the majority opinion. “It applies to all children, born and unborn, without limitation. It is not the role of this Court to craft a new limitation based on our...

Former President Donald Trump tipped the scales in the U.S. Senate race in Montana on Friday, endorsing retired U.S. Navy SEAL and businessman Tim Sheehy on the same day that Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-MT) announced that he was getting in the race. “I LOVE MONTANA! Tim Sheehy is an American Hero and highly successful Businessman from the Great State of Montana,” Trump posted on social media. “He is strongly supported by our incredible Chairman of the NRSC, Steve Daines, and many other patriotic Senators and Republicans who have endorsed our Campaign to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! I also respect Matt...

As chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) had one job: win the Senate majority. Not only did he fail, but he did so in spectacular fashion — through calamitous mismanagement of the NRSC that left Republican candidates under fire without air cover in the final critical months of the midterm elections. Now Scott is trying to deflect blame for the GOP’s disastrous showing. So, it’s worth reviewing the record of his catastrophic tenure at the helm of the GOP’s Senate campaign arm. According to the New York Times, by July of this year, Scott’s NRSC...

Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) defended the National Republican Senatorial Committee amid calls that its performance under his leadership should be audited after Republicans failed to take the Senate majority in the midterm elections. Scott said he would be willing to sit down with anyone concerned about the NRSC's bookkeeping and spending and touted the financial reforms he already enacted on the Senate Republicans' campaign arm when he took over in 2021. He invited the Senate Leadership Fund PAC associated with Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to do the same.... ....Sens. Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) were the two...

Montana Sen. Steve Daines is the new chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee and Scott is no longer a member of the Senate GOP leadership team Florida GOP Sen. Rick Scott is no longer the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee after challenging Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for leader of the caucus on Wednesday. McConnell defeated Scott 37-10. Montana GOP Sen. Steve Daines was elected the new chair of the NRSC. McConnell, the longest serving Senate GOP leader, said on Tuesday that he welcomed the challenge from Scott but predicted he had enough votes to win. “I...

I use a third party Email program (Thunderbird) to get my Email (via a POP setup) from Verizon (now hosted by AOL). I noticed some months ago that spam filters it was using were not always reliable. I began going on line to AOL mail to see what had been placed in the "Trash" folder (Emails I got via Thunderbird) and what it had in a "SPAM" folder. I found Emails assigned as Spam were not and some Emails they sent ot me should have been sent to the Spam folder instead. I made corrections on their Email web page....

Just a few days after U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced he would pull his Senate Leadership Fund PAC out of New Hampshire on the 25th, two polls showed the Republican candidate surging into what is now virtually a tied race. According to an Emerson poll released Monday, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Gen. Don Bolduc has surged five points since last month and is now down only three points — 45-48 percent — to incumbent Sen. Maggie Hassan. Moreover, according to RealClearPolitics, pollsters historically underestimate GOP turnout in New Hampshire by 5.4 points. So if that ends up...

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is jumping back into the New Hampshire Senate race after the GOP’s top Senate super PAC announced that it would bail on the state and Republican nominee Don Bolduc and with polling showing a potentially tightening race. An NRSC official said that the committee would make a new seven-figure investment in TV advertising in New Hampshire as part of a joint effort with Bolduc’s campaign. The new spending is the latest sign that top Republicans still see the race against Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.) as winnable, despite earlier concerns about Bolduc’s prospects.

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has reportedly changed his mind on Republican chances of retaking control of the Senate in the midterm elections. Previously in doubt that Sen. Rick Scott’s (R-FL) plan at the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) would yield positive results, McConnell was cautiously optimistic Republicans will gain the majority, the Chamber of Commerce told Axios. McConnell attended a closed-door meeting on Monday at the chamber, where he said Republicans’ chances of retaking the Senate have improved. McConnell has previously claimed it was more likely Republicans would retake the House than the Senate. McConnell’s words are notable because he...

It is an “interesting idea” for Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) to fund the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) with his personal funds, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) — who is himself a millionaire — told Punchbowl News Thursday. McConnell, whose net worth was estimated in 2018 to be $34,137,534, has been taking aim at Scott, who chairs the NRSC, for the way in which Scott is planning to defeat Senate Democrats in November. Scott has publicly described the minority leader’s criticisms as a “strategic disagreement.” But when McConnell’s allies have taken to writing articles condemning Scott’s leadership, the NRSC chairman called...

The Senate Republicans re-election arm is launching new ads Friday in the crucial general swing states of Arizona and Wisconsin, which are home to key Senate races that may determine if the GOP wins back the majority in the chamber. ... The spot in Arizona takes aim at former astronaut and Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly, who narrowly won the seat in a 2020 special election and whom the GOP views as one of the most vulnerable Democratic Senate incumbents on the ballot this year. Kelly is criticized in the commercial for his stances on border security and immigration - a...

National Republican Senatorial Committee funds declined to just $28.4 million by the end of June. (Photo: Manuel Augusto Moreno via Getty Images) Anumber of Republican strategists and consultants are growing increasingly dismayed about millions of dollars vanishing at the National Republican Senatorial Committee — just when the funds are needed most, The Washington Post reported Friday. Cash at the national campaign fund is dwindling as candidates head into the final stretch of Senate races across the U.S.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) told his colleagues this week top party donors were "furious" with the number of Republicans — including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell — who voted for the bipartisan infrastructure bill, two sources familiar with his remarks tell Axios' Alayna Treene. Why it matters: Scott chairs the National Republican Senatorial Committee, which relies on donors to help it elect candidates — and re-elect incumbents. The criticism highlighted how toxic the vote has become for the 19 Senate and 13 House Republicans who joined with Democrats to pass it. McConnell is already being lambasted by former President Trump...

Senator Rick Scott (R-FL), the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that he will help Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s (R-AK) reelection efforts, even though former President Donald Trump endorsed a challenger against her. In June, Trump announced that he would be endorsing Murkowski challenger Alaska Commissioner of Administration Kelly Tshibaka. Scott said, “I think you’d be foolish not to want and accept Donald Trump’s endorsement, but you’re going to win not because somebody endorses you, but because you win because you’re making sure inflation gets stopped, that people get a job, making sure...

Moments ago Mary from the National Republican Senate Committee (NRSC) just called and asked for a donation to help Senate Republicans help fight the Democrats and regain the majority. I could not believe my ears. I literally just finished posting here on FreeRepublic about the Republican Senators who handed Biden a bipartisan victory and thrust the final bankruptcy dagger into America with the infrastructure bill. I politely, but firmly, told Mary I was Trump supporter and it was an insult to receive this call immediately after Senate Republicans just finished collaborating with Democrats on passing the infrastructure bill. It was...

Former President Donald Trump’s political action committee has amassed a war chest of more than $85 million as he builds an operation meant to take on his enemies and possibly fuel another run for president in 2024. Save America, Trump’s leadership PAC, heads into the second quarter with that gargantuan sum of cash on hand, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter who declined to be named as the fundraising data has not been made public. The PAC raised more than $30 million from late November through December, and finished last year with $31 million on hand,...
