Senator Rick Scott (R-FL), the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that he will help Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s (R-AK) reelection efforts, even though former President Donald Trump endorsed a challenger against her.
In June, Trump announced that he would be endorsing Murkowski challenger Alaska Commissioner of Administration Kelly Tshibaka.
Scott said, “I think you’d be foolish not to want and accept Donald Trump’s endorsement, but you’re going to win not because somebody endorses you, but because you win because you’re making sure inflation gets stopped, that people get a job, making sure your kids aren’t indoctrinated on Critical Race Theory. Those are the issues people care about.”

Not ONE cent for the RNSC. Not one. They are working to elect Demonrats in the GOP caucus.
I read this as: because you get our endorsement because you’re making a deal with McConnel et. al. to vote against massive spending bills which she wouldn’t necessarily do otherwise.
It is marginally understandable for the RNSC to support RINO’s in the general election against a Democrat. They honestly shouldn’t be spending anything in primaries period.
Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Let’s be fair. She’s only had three terms as Senator. Give her a chance to make a lasting impression on her chair.
He’s supporting someone who voted for Trump’s impeachment.
Where are all the Scott fans on this forum?

Seems “winred” is also the conduit for people I would otherwise support. Will not give a single dime to any party organization, but hard to give direct to candidates. Ideas anyone ?

All Kelly Tshibaka has to do to defeat Murkowski is to run that picture of Feinstein cowing Murkoski over and over again.
NRSC supports ALL incumbent R Senators, and in the General Election the candidate who wins the primary. That’s what they do.
Back in 2010, the NRSC supported Murkowski against primary challenger Joe Miller. When Joe Miller won the primary, NRSC supported Miller. When Murkowski won as a write-in and Miller wanted a recount, NRSC Supported Miller’s recount effort because he was the R candidate.
The only real question is how much she gets.
I hope he gets primaried.
A decade ago, I had the displeasure of hearing then-FL Gov. Scott address a conference in Orlando where it became clear he was an empty suit and a cadaverous waste of skin. I can’t recall ever being a fan.
It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it.
Scott was an OK governor, better than anything the Dems could produce (like Crist). But he's not a MAGA guy, and in the Senate he figures McConnell is buttering Scott's bread, and acts accordingly.
There are very few non-squishes in the Senate; Cruz is rising above the pack, but I still can't trust him, and I say that as someone who was a Cruzer for the better part of the 2016 primary season.
I hate Murkowski but her write-in candidacy wasn’t corrupt. She followed the rules and simply won fair and square.
