PHOENIX -- By a large margin, Arizonans appear to like the border and immigration proposals sketched out last week by President Bush. A new statewide survey shows 86 percent of registered voters asked support the president's plan to add 6,000 new Border Patrol agents. And 70 percent agree with his proposal to use National Guard troops in the interim in support roles. There also is very strong backing for holding employers accountable for the legal status of workers they hire, with 85 percent in favor and only 11 percent opposed.
