Carmella DeCesare, the girlfriend of Browns quarterback Jeff Garcia and the reigning Playboy Playmate of the Year, went on trial this morning for a misdemeanor charge of assault. The charge stems from a scuffle with Garcia's ex-girlfriend, Kristen Hine, at the Tramp nightclub in Cleveland on Aug. 21. Hine told police that DeCesare kicked her in the head. Testimony in the case was expected to last all day and possibly last until Tuesday.
