NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – A woman has been arrested in connection with an investigation into arson at the Comal County Republican Headquarters, according to the City of New Braunfels. Grace Carol Brown, 21, was taken into custody on Thursday for burglary of a building and arson, a news release said. She was later booked into the Comal County jail on a $200,000 bond. An LGBT organization in New Braunfels is hosting a drag show on Saturday that is being marketed as “all ages.” While the Riverside Pride Festival was originally slated to take place at the Comal County Fairgrounds, the event has since been moved to an alternate location—Faith United Church of Christ. The Comal County Fair Executive Board released a statement Tuesday evening explaining that the LGBT organization had decided to move the event following concerns over “age appropriateness.”

The Pentagon has responded to a globally-released ‘Kill List’, asking law enforcement to give extra protection for military personnel whose personal information was released,News Channel 10 reports. A middle school principal threatened to kill a group of science teachers if their students did not improve their standardized test scores, according to a complaint filed with the New Braunfels Police Department. Anita White, who taught at New Braunfels Middle School for 18 years before being transferred this month to the district's Learning Center, said Principal John Burks made the threat in a Jan. 21 meeting with eighth-grade science teachers. One public school district voted Monday night to begin offering a new bible class as part of its curriculum. The elective course is called "The Bible and its Influence." Board members voted six to one to approve the new class. "The Bible is a fundamental document," says Rosalyn Bratcher with the New Braunfels ISD. Danger! No alerts have been issued concerning the Canyon Lake dam near San Antonio, but much closer to New Braunfels Texas. The water level in Canyone Lake is so high, it has begun to enter the spillway, and even is now coming over the earthen dam which could break due to erosion of the soil as water passes over it.
