Trevon Woodards, 27, was arrested on Friday after being accused of attacking 27-year-old Canada Rinaldi on March 22, four weeks before her wedding. Dash cam footage from a passing Uber captured Rinaldi's bridesmaid, Kelly Peralta, trying to save her but found herself also being punched by Woodards. Currently, a possible motive for the attack has not been released.

A 21-year-old Longview man pleaded guilty to capital murder Friday in the death of his 2-year-old daughter in April. Christopher D. Lewis was sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum of 40 years before becoming eligible for parole. Lewis, a Marine who fought in Iraq, was charged with capital murder and had faced the death penalty. His daughter, Krisiauna Calaira Lewis, died April 30 at Children's Medical Center in Dallas after being taken from Longview Regional Medical Center with facial lacerations and a severe head injury.
