Weekend at Bernie’s answered the age-old question of how many laughs can a movie milk out of the corpse of a dead fraudster. “Weekend at Biden’s” is giving us the answer to how many tears will the Left shed trying to control the walking husk of a fraudulent president. One is a strangely enduring dark comedy. The other is an ’80s movie. In the movie, Larry Wilson (Andrew McCarthy) and Richard Parker (Jonathan Silverman) try to maintain the illusion that the stone-cold body of Bernie Lomax (Terry Kiser) is still a hot-blooded party animal, in order to frustrate the mob...

When the United States said last year it would host the 2022 Summit of the Americas, officials had high hopes the event would help repair Trump-era damage to relations and reassert U.S. primacy over China's growing clout in Latin America. But on the cusp of the coming week's gathering in Los Angeles, U.S. President Joe Biden faces a struggle to make a success of a summit plagued by problems before it even began. Ideological discord over who to invite, skepticism about U.S. commitment to Latin America, and low expectations for major accords on issues such as migration and economic cooperation...

President Biden’s Secret Service detail rushed him to a safe house in Rehoboth Beach, Del., Saturday when a private plane violated the airspace above the vacation home he owns in the small seaside town. Local resident Susan Lillard spotted a small white aircraft flying over Biden’s neighborhood around 12:45 p.m. — a violation of the FAA airspace restrictions that are always called when the president is away from the White House. Minutes later, Lillard told CBS News, she saw two military-style jets scramble over the town.

Joe Biden’s handlers postponed his trip to Israel and Saudi Arabia on Friday. Biden was expected to visit the two countries to push the insane Iranian nuclear deal that both nations oppose. No reason was given for the delate. NBC News reported: President Joe Biden’s planned visits to Saudi Arabia and Israel later this month have been postponed until July, several officials told NBC News on Friday.

The dignified transfer just ended and the mortuary vans drove off. As Biden lowered his arm from saluting, he looked at his wrist watch. I am fuming.

President Joe Biden called a lid at 1:13 pm eastern on Monday afternoon as the crisis at the border reaches catastrophic levels. "A photo/ travel lid was called at 1.13pm," the White House pool report states. In other words, Biden won't be seen for the rest of the day.

The White House called a lid for Joe Biden on Thursday, after an inch of snow and sleet fell in Washington, DC. Calling a “lid” informs reporters the president will not appear in public or travel anywhere for the rest of the day.

I have a question. When did politicians and federal employees start calling themselves “public servants”? Even more importantly, why are we letting them? It’s almost as if they’re trying to claim the mantle of nobility for making a sacrifice in the public interest. But I don’t understand what that sacrifice is. They’re paid better and have better benefits than most private-sector employees. They’re rarely held accountable for their performance. Why do we treat them as if they’re serving a higher calling than any other profession in the country? Take Joe Biden, for example. He claims to have been in public...

Joe Biden’s campaigning from his basement and frequent lids, where Biden was kept away from the media, were a common punchline in conservative media. “How can Joe run a campaign from his basement and hiding from the media?” “How can he be trusted to run the country if he can’t handle a campaign?” Even when he did leave the basement he got questions about milkshakes. There were times when Joe Biden wouldn’t be seen for days. His campaign told us that it was because of debate prep, but no one actually believed it. But the campaign is over now. Regardless...

The findings, published in the journal Heart, were based on nearly 3,500 adults, ages 35 to 75, who were tracked for about five years Napping late in the day also is not recommended because it can mar nighttime sleeping. more than a third of Americans regularly get too little sleep. Watching the Sunday talk shows, if I didn't "know" that Jeb Bush was considered washed up, I would have thought the other campaigns saw him as a real force in Tuesday's balloting. On ABC's "This Week," both Donald Trump and Marco Rubio laid into Jeb. Trump countered Bush scoring points on him in a Saturday night debate exchange on eminent domain. Rubio, meanwhile, felt the need to get to the right of Bush on abortions during "crisis pregnancy" scenarios. Bush has been left for dead by pundits in recent weeks and months. The seeming front runner status he enjoyed early...

Don’t be fooled by the dry title. “Review of the Efficiency of the Job Duties of Motor Truck Drivers,” a report released Wednesday by Chicago Inspector General Joseph Ferguson, is as sensational and infuriating as any TV-news “sweeps week” exposé. “Asleep at the Wheel” would have been a snappier title. “Idling for Dollars.” “Paid to Park.” Rather than following a few city work crews around and capturing video of union truck drivers sitting in their cabs dozing, snacking and reading the newspaper at better than $30 an hour, Ferguson and his team combed through city contracts and conducted field interviews...

November 20, 2007 Is Fred Dead or Just Resting?TOM BEVAN In early October I argued there was a disconnect between the way the pundits and voters viewed Fred Thompson's candidacy. Sitting here six weeks later, however, evidence continues to pour in that Thompson has completely underwhelmed the Republican electorate. It seems like every other day a new poll comes out in a key early state showing Fred losing ground - sometimes significant ground. Indeed, if you take a look at groups that have conducted at least two surveys since early September (when Thompson officially entered the race and began...

Guantanamo - Torture Revealed Scott Burgess has been combing through the newly released Guantanamo hearing transcripts, uncovering a horror beyond words: Guantanamo - Torture Revealed. During his time in Guantanamo, Mr. Abbasi (writing in the third person) alleges that he was: * subject to [unspecified] “mental stress and pressure†* “willfully misdirected ... to pray north†* deprived of “comfort items†* subjected to an [apparently failed] “attempt to withdraw Qur’an†* able to hear two guards having sex, while they “assumed he was asleep†* distracted from his prayer by the “sharp intake of breath†of a female...

LONDON (Reuters) - More British workers will call in "sick" Monday than on any other day in 2006, many opting to make their excuses by text message or by phoning in with an artistic cough or splutter, research revealed Monday. Widespread dissatisfaction with holiday allowances combined with a post-Christmas comedown will contribute to thousands of Britons, who work some of the longest hours in Europe, staying at home to recharge their batteries. "Early February is a very popular time for taking a 'sickie', the first bank holiday still seems a long way off, the days are gloomy and many people...

WHEN true artists look back on their careers, they inevitably do so with a sense of romanticism: the journey is usually long and every moment is worth relishing. In celebration of her 25 years in theater, Monique Wilson recently starred in a concert that reflected on her own journey, which began in 1980 when she was 9, with Repertory Philippines. The little girl Monique dreamed, believed and persevered. On Saturday evening, she narrated the years that came between those days of dreaming and her present reality. The night of musical remembrances began with "When You Wish Upon A Star" (from...
