One of Britain's leading criminologists has warned the recent spate of Canada Goose coat muggings could be the start of a new 'luxury crime trend' and has warned all those who own the expensive jackets to be cautious. The coats - which can be sold for as much as £1,700 - have been targeted by muggers across the country resulting in cars being broken into, pedestrians robbed, neighbours stealing from neighbours and even knife attacks. On Sunday, shocking footage emerged showing two hooded thugs trying to steal one of the coveted coats in broad daylight at a Kent train station.

Brazilian police reportedly have a warning for those visiting for the World Cup this summer: If you are robbed, don’t scream. The instruction comes in a pamphlet advising visitors on how to stay safe that will be distributed by Brazilian embassies and consulates, according to a report. “Do not react, scream or argue,” the brochure says. Chinese police will help patrol tourist destinations in Paris this summer after a rise in muggings and attacks on Chinese tourists, a source in France's interior ministry said on Tuesday. The China.org site, reported that French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve had said that the government invited the Chinese police officers who will patrol tourist spots and serve as interpreters for Chinese tourists.
