Wife and I are now officially retired. Looking at RV's to allow us roaming on our schedule. We have made an "Our Turn" list of things/places we want to do/see. After years of caring for ailing parents, divorced siblings who sent their children to be raised by us along with our kids and all the activities requiring Mom and Dad taxi service, working our butts off making our small business thrive (which it is still doing as a nice tax write-off) it is Our Turn and we are getting ready.

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. -- A 55-year-old Alabama woman has been injured after she fell out of a motor home traveling on a Florida interstate while trying to use the bathroom.The Florida Highway Patrol says Sharon Glover had been drinking when she fell out of the moving motor home near Pensacola on Tuesday. She walked to the rear of the vehicle to use the restroom, fell and slid 100 feet on the pavement before landing in the grass. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The vehicles are made by UNICAT, a company based in Europe that now also has an American branch. The particular model shown in the photographs is designated as the "EX63-HDM / MAN TGA 6x6". TUCUMCARI, N.M. -- A 77-year-old Minnesota woman says she's not mad at her husband for leaving her behind as they traveled through New Mexico. Regina Vogt said it was "just a misunderstanding." But she says she was really surprised to walk out of a Wal-Mart and discover the motor home she and her husband arrived in was gone. Lloyd Vogt says he drove off, thinking she was sleeping in the back. The retirees had stopped at the store last week on their way home to Rochester, Minnesota. I was just wondering if anyone has had such an experience and what did you do about it. My friends had been saving and planning a trip to Anchorage,Alaska for 3 years. They were to leave 20th of this month. Lo and behold the husband was not feeling good last week, legs were hurting, shortness of breath, wife took him to hospital emergency room. Cath was ordered and and they discovered major blockage, had open heart surgery right then and there. Needless to say trip had to be cancelled, They realize the airlines would voucher the tickets for another time,...

TALE OF TWO LAWYERS...... DEFEATED and DECIETFUL

I am interested in your experiences, both pro and con, regarding the purchase of, ownership problems, dealer/service satisfaction/lack thereof regarding the RV/Motorhome industry--which is apparently not regulated at all, as is the automobile industry, for instance. I recently purchased a new Class C motorhome here in upstate NY; and although initially ok, ended up last week in Florida unable to drain the holding tanks when it became apparent that the factory had forgotten to provide access to attach a drain hose--yep, there it was all sealed up behind the rear quarterpanel--imagine my surprise.
