 CATHOLICS NEED NOT APPLY The US Senate is a place where legislation goes to die.  The US House of Representatives has passed over 50 pieces of legislation with overwhelming bipartisan support and the US Senate has not acted on them. The US Senate also has the duty to give their advise and consent on Judicial nominees.
