Once Twitter began rolling over for Congress in 2017, the ending was inevitable: formal surrender to the intelligence community on content moderation. ... From the Twitter Files, a story about media, that also sketches the origins of Twitter’s surrender to the intelligence community: ... Twitter through the end of August, 2017 was on nobody’s radar as a key actor in the Trump-Russia “foreign influence” scandal. By the second week in October — six weeks later — the company was being raked over the coals in the press as “one of Russia’s most potent weapons in its efforts to promote Donald...

Operation Mockingbird was an alleged CIA project that recruited journalists to write fake stories promoting government ideas while dispelling communist ones. Is this still happening today? Today I’m sharing why I think it is and how it poses a serious threat to the Republican Party. Plus, Casey Anthony appearing in her first sit down interview in which she blames her father for the murder of her daughter and suggests that he killed her to cover up sexually abusing her. https://youtu.be/g0SFjgarHX4

The “anti-disinformation” industry has nothing to do with protecting a gullible public from information that might cause them to make bad or unhealthy choices. It’s about creating and directing a narrative for the purpose of controlling the population and hiding truths that might overthrow the ruling cabal and its plans for a one world government.. In 1948, the CIA’s Office of Special Projects launched Operation Mockingbird, a clandestine CIA media infiltration campaign that involved bribing hundreds of journalists to publish fake stories at the CIA’s request.. During the Cold War, CIA propaganda disparaged communist ideologies. Today, it promotes radical ideas...

Washington school board removes ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ from curriculum due to racial sensitivity A school board outside of Seattle voted to stop requiring students to read an iconic novel about racism and injustice in the Jim Crow-era Deep South. The Mukilteo School Board approved a resolution to remove “To Kill a Mockingbird” from its 9th-grade curriculum after complaints it was racially insensitive, according to Fox News. The move reportedly had the support of the district’s superintendent. The 1960 Harper Lee novel about a black man falsely accused of raping a white woman would still be found in the school...

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Thursday the Biden administration is identifying “problematic” posts for Facebook to censor because they contain “misinformation” about COVID-19. Psaki disclosed the government role in policing social media during her daily press briefing after Surgeon General Vivek Murthy called on companies to purge more pandemic posts. The demand for censorship — and Psaki’s admission of government involvement — follows a series of flip-flops from health officials who contradicted themselves throughout the pandemic on issues such as mask efficacy, as well as censorship of claims that later gained credibility, such as the theory that COVID-19...

President Trump would have the world falsely believe that he won the election and is preparing for a second term. In private huddles and phone conversations, however, Trump has been discussing an entirely different next act: another presidential run in 2024. In a nod to the reality that he is destined to leave office in January, the president is seriously contemplating life beyond the White House, telling advisers that he wants to remain an omnipresent force in politics and the media — perhaps by running for the White House again. Trump has told confidants that he could announce a 2024...

In September, U.S. intelligence officials warned that because of the pandemic, it might take a few days for the results of the presidential election to emerge - and that foreign adversaries might exploit the delay to spread false information intended to undermine confidence in the vote. But instead of doing that, American officials and private experts say, the Russians and other foreign influencers have appeared content to report on the claims - made with no evidence - by President Trump and his allies that the election is being “stolen” from them. “Nothing that Russia or Iran or China could say...

Dramatic rises in atmospheric methane are threatening to derail plans to hold global temperature rises to 2C, scientists have warned. In a paper published by the American Geophysical Union, researchers say sharp rises in levels of methane - which is a powerful greenhouse gas - have strengthened over the past four years. Urgent action is now required to halt further increases in methane in the atmosphere, to avoid triggering enhanced global warming and temperature rises well beyond 2C. “What we are now witnessing is extremely worrying,” said one of the paper’s lead authors, Professor Euan Nisbet of Royal Holloway, University...

Civilian data obtained by sources close to law enforcement confirms that CNN crime and justice producer David Shortell lives in Washington, D.C. How did Shortell end up in Florida? Special counsel’s office leaking will be a paramount issue of the Stone case. Here is Stone on Tucker Carlson Tonight: Even though David Shortell does not live near Roger Stone, former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson apparently does: BLP reported: Exactly 618 days since Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s official investigation into “Russian collusion” began on May 17, 2017, and more than 800 days after news broke that authorities...

Reacting to Donald Trump’s fury over a New York Times report that said the FBI investigated whether the president was working for Russia after he fired James Comey, Comey himself tweeted a quote by Franklin Delano Roosevelt. “I ask you to judge me by the enemies I have made,” the former FBI director wrote on Saturday, adding an attribution: “FDR.” It soon became clear the tweet almost exactly matched one by Trump, issued on 21 November 2012, when the then reality TV star was digesting the re-election of Barack Obama....{snip} But it seems Comey might have been making a sharper...

The President talked over Lesley Stahl in a relentless blast of rhetoric that seemed more rally than interview ......the President’s interview had effectively the same impact as a rally; it allowed him to bulldoze his chief enemy, the media, while airing his own points at ceaseless length..... Lesley Stahl’s interview with Trump was an undeniable get; he’d been scarce on mainstream media since around the time he appeared on tape with NBC’s Lester Holt and indicated he’d fired former FBI Director James Comey in part due to the Russia investigation. But the interview seemed governed by two motives, both of...

In today’s #BelieveAllWomen environment, due process isn’t what it used to be. It’s time for To Kill a Mockingbird to give up its treasured place in American culture. The 1960 novel by Harper Lee was published to instant acclaim, has sold more than 30 million copies, and is ubiquitous in high-school curricula. The 1962 movie version, starring Gregory Peck, is a classic in itself and won three Academy Awards. A play based on the novel is about to open on Broadway. This is quite the résumé for a book that, prior to the publication of a sequel in 2015 that...

CNN’s Drew Griffin explicitly accused school shooting survivor Colton Haab of lying over the student’s claim that CNN wrote a question for him to recite at the far-left network’s widely criticized anti-gun town hall. On Thursday evening, President Trump tweeted out criticism of CNN’s ongoing fake news crisis with a quote from Fox News’s Tucker Carlson, who interviewed Haab Thursday night. “‘School shooting survivor says he quit @CNN Town Hall after refusing scripted question.’ @TuckerCarlson,” Trump tweeted, adding, “Just like so much of CNN, Fake News. That’s why their ratings are so bad! MSNBC may be worse.”

Video at link is 39 minutes 28 seconds in length. Recommend you skip first 13-14 minutes. At the 13:42 there is a nice overview of Operation Mockingbird. At the 14:39 minute mark there are old television clips of the CIA being asked about what information they insert into television and news programming. Well actually, when asked if they people inserting information into television programming, the CIA rep claims executive privilege (wants to respond later in executive session). At the 16:00 minute mark, we see Sig Mickleson of CBS cagily defending the CIA sourcing of news. Actually everyone interviewed answered cagily....

In 1977, Carl Bernstein published an exposé of a CIA program known as Operation Mockingbird, a covert program involving, according to Bernstein, “more than 400 American journalists who in the past 25 years have secretly carried out assignments for the Central Intelligence Agency.” Bernstein found that in “many instances” CIA documents revealed that “journalists were engaged to perform tasks for the CIA with the consent of the managements of America’s leading news organizations.” Fast-forward to December 2016, and one can see that there isn’t much need for a covert government program these days.
