Washington school board removes ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ from curriculum due to racial sensitivity A school board outside of Seattle voted to stop requiring students to read an iconic novel about racism and injustice in the Jim Crow-era Deep South. CBS Films has optioned Michael Isikoff and David Corn’s “Russian Roulette,” the story of the Russian attempt to interfere with the 2016 presidential election. CNN’s Drew Griffin explicitly accused school shooting survivor Colton Haab of lying over the student’s claim that CNN wrote a question for him to recite at the far-left network’s widely criticized anti-gun town hall. At the 14:39 minute mark there are old television clips of the CIA being asked about what information they insert into television and news programming. Well actually, when asked if they people inserting information into television programming, the CIA rep claims executive privilege (wants to respond later in executive session). At the 16:00 minute mark, we see Sig Mickleson of CBS cagily defending the CIA sourcing of news. Actually everyone interviewed answered cagily....

In 1977, Carl Bernstein published an exposé of a CIA program known as Operation Mockingbird, a covert program involving, according to Bernstein, “more than 400 American journalists who in the past 25 years have secretly carried out assignments for the Central Intelligence Agency.” Bernstein found that in “many instances” CIA documents revealed that “journalists were engaged to perform tasks for the CIA with the consent of the managements of America’s leading news organizations.” Fast-forward to December 2016, and one can see that there isn’t much need for a covert government program these days.
