In an interview posted today on the Web, documentary filmmaker Albert Maysles claims that his appearance in Mike Wilson's documentary Michael Moore Hates America is cobbled together from "stolen" footage obtained without his consent and he has contacted his lawyer about the matter because the filmmakers "misrepresented themselves." Unedited video footage released by the documentary filmmakers soon after this story broke prove that Albert Mayles is lying. Michael Wilson gave students a glimpse into what happens when you try to take on a man like Michael Moore. The filmmaker was in town Wednesday night to talk about his movie "Michael Moore Hates America," speaking to a packed room in the Rutgers Student Center on the College Avenue campus, According to Wilson, the film started as out as just a social experiment. After seeing "Fahrenheit 9/11," Wilson wondered, "How can two blue collar guys from the Midwest see the world in such diametrically opposed ways?" Wilson - who hails from Minnesota - guided the audience through highlights from...

Michael Moore Hates America Michael Moore Lies Michael Moore Watch Michael Moore Exposed

For more than a decade and a half, Michael Moore has been the hunter, preying on politicians, political leaders, and anyone he wants to "expose." First time filmmaker Michael Wilson does a superb job turning the tables on Moore in "Michael Moore Hates America," an ambitious documentary that contrary to its title isn't a flaming anti-Moore screed. Wilson's film focuses on four central ideas: 1) Pursuing Moore while debunking his lies, 2) Can a Documentary be truthful? 3) the American dream, and 4) the shrillness of our political dialogue. Taking the second point first, Wilson's anger at Moore centers around...

It's been quite the year as we've finished up production on "Michael Moore Hates America", hauled it through the process of editing, color correction, audio mixing and mastering and then the beginning of exposure to the press and the public. The response to the movie has been gratifying, to say the least ("Two Thumbs Up") - and it's been exciting to see the eagerness and anticipation with which audiences at independent film festivals around the country have received the release. We want to get the film out as soon as possible for everyone who has been writing and asking when...

Conspiracy... what conspiracy? Michael Moore and Mike Wilson have the same first name but totally different world views. PHOTO: Zack Sultan /WSN Call him the man who moved a mountain. Call him an activist, an underdog or a commentator, but Mike Wilson - director of the critically praised documentary "Michael Moore Hates America" - calls himself a libertarian. And a person who cares. "I voted today," Wilson said in a phone interview Tuesday. "I yell about stuff when there's something wrong. I make movies." Wilson started work on his film as a small project in his hometown in Minnesota....

Including Sgt. Peter Damon, who lost his arms in the war in Iraq. You remember him, right? You put him in F911. Surely you remember him… you said he was being left behind. The problem is that in our film, he finally has an opportunity to tell the world the truth, something you have little interest in. Sgt. Damon is angry with you, Moore.

Dr. Hfuhruhurr On The LIBERTY FILM FESTIVAL In LA And Being A Republican In Hollywood!! Hi, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab... I love this article. I love this article as much as I love any article I’ve ever published on AICN. To me, this is the whole point of running a website. Publishing reactions from film fans that aren’t the same as my own, and giving someone a chance to make their case. Dr. Hfuhruhurr is one of my favorite guys in LA, and this article took guts to write. I’m pleased to present it, and...

THE BAIT The couple of days ago, a writer friend of mine who shall remain nameless so he can work in this town again, asked me if I wanted to go to the Hollywood premiere of the documentary “Michael Moore Hates America” at the Writer’s Guild Association theater. I had actually heard about this film previously, so I said, Sure, I’d love to go. America needs to see what a neo-Goebbels Michael Moore really is, so I wanted to go support this guy’s film.

By Andrew Leigh When word first got out about the upcoming documentary Michael Moore Hates America, many were thrilled that finally somebody was doing unto Michael Moore as he has done to so many others. But some weren't too thrilled with the title. It evokes an over-the-top, spittle-flecked invective filled with, well, hate. I recently met with the 28-year-old director, Michael Wilson, at a trendily retro Los Angeles hotel....

I was extremely lucky to be part of history this past weekend, when America’s first conservative film festival took place in Dallas, Texas. The American Renaissance Film Festival was scheduled for the third anniversary weekend of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and it was a fitting tribute. I was there to accompany my mother, Mara Wallis, whose documentary, Entertaining Vietnam, screened at the festival. In fact, Vietnam loomed large at the festival, thanks in large part to John Kerry who foolishly built his whole presidential campaign on a house of cards. In a weird way, we can thank Kerry for finally...

September 13, 2004 - The Amazing Morning After… We premiered yesterday at the AFR Festival in Dallas. It was a smash hit. Both shows were oversold, packed houses. There were dozens of people standing in the back, and did so for the entire show because there were no more seats. I want to apologize to the people with tickets who were turned away because the theater oversold the show… I had no idea that would happen, and I'm sorry. It was so cool to be at both shows… to finally hear the laughter and applause of the audiences. To see...

'Michael Moore Hates America' huge hit10-minute standing ovation for documentary at film festival Posted: September 14, 20041:00 a.m. Eastern By Ron Strom © 2004 WorldNetDaily.com "Michael Moore Hates America," a documentary that challenges the leftist filmmaker, received a huge response at the American Film Renaissance festival in Dallas, packing out two showings and eliciting a 10-minute standing ovation. "That crowd response was bigger than anything I've seen in a theater in my life," Jim Hubbard, the co-founder of the festival, told WorldNetDaily. The festival ran from Sept. 10-12. Hubbard said demand to see the film was so high, the theater was bursting...

what's going on everybody. i live in grand prairie, tx... inbetween dallas and fort worth, south of irving, and east of arlington... just a point of reference. i drove the 20, or so, minute drive to the addison studio movie grill in prestonwood, tx. it's northeast of where i live. it was my girlfriend sara and i. here's a pic of her, if anyone cares. so, anyway, we arrived about an hour early. the showing was at 7:30 pm, and the website said to arrive 30 minutes early, but there was a cowboy game (vs. vikings) that night, so i...

DALLAS—The opening night of the American Film Renaissance, the nation's "first and only" conservative film festival, featured an African-American pianist sitting in a ballroom of Dallas' InterContinental Hotel and playing "As Time Goes By." On Saturday and Sunday, aspiring right-wing auteurs suggested that if we could just get back to the values of Casablanca—you know, Nazism, adultery, casino gaming—the studios would make movies worth watching again. "We're seeing the rise of conservative film," said Alan Lipton, the co-director of a short called Operation Eagle Strike.

I just came from the premiere of Michael Wilson's "Michael Moore Hates America." Michael Wilson was present at this film, and I had the pleasure of speaking with Jonathon Boyd Hunt, a man whose recent book exposes the methods of American-hating BBC. Wilson's film is a honest investigation into the filmmaking practices of Michael Moore. In trying to get an interview with Moore, Wilson reaffirms his belief that America is a wonderful country, full of good, decent, hard-working people who are just trying to make things better for their children and their country. While he catches himself at times employing...

The debut screening of "Michael Moore Hates America", the irreverant documentary that slams the "disingenuous filmmaker", sold out in only 5 hours after tickets went on sale last week. Staff from The American Film Renaissance, America's first Conservative film festival, said that their office was inundated with calls from people inquiring about the new documentary. Michael Moore Hates America will debut Sunday, Sept 12 at the Dallas based film festival. A few tickets for an encore performance are still available.
