SEATTLE - Five officers were assaulted Saturday night when they tried to break up a drunken brawl at a large baptism celebration at the South Park Community Center, police said. A massive layoff of teachers and support staff at D.C. public schools triggered chaos outside of McKinley High School Friday afternoon.
