IRVINGTON, N.J. (AP) — Six people face charges after an anti-violence rally in northern New Jersey allegedly turned into a melee.

Wednesday night's march in Irvington — which was intended to honor two women who were fatally shot near a school in the Essex County community last week — began peacefully.

But Police Chief Michael Chase told The Star-Ledger of Newark that tempers flared when members of the Newark's Anti-Violence Coalition tried to move the demonstration into the street, despite an officer's warning to stay on the sidewalk.

Wasn’t Irvington or Irving once a nice place? NJ has become a sink hole thanks to open borders and liberalism.

I'll just leave this here:

Bashir Akinyele, a member of the Newark chapter of the New Black Panthers, said he believed the recent violence was a symptom of black self-hatred because of the legacy of slavery and racism in the country.

I do love me some cold irony. But in this case I could argue that the acual result was, in fact, the expected result.

“I could argue that the acual result was, in fact, the expected result.”

In which case, the group’s name would still be ironic. No wonder I enjoyed this tidbit.

Coalition member Bashir Akinyele

There's the first sign

claimed the group's permit allowed them to block the intersection at Myrtle and Madison avenues. But Chase said it only allowed them onto the sidewalk.

What permit would be granted to "BLOCK" an intersection?

The six people arrested face various charges, including obstruction of justice and resisting arrest. But one faces a charge of inciting a riot.

I swear to God, that if I was to grab one of these "Coalition" members and put a hot iron up to their jiblets, they would admit the following: That these rallies/demonstrations/riots are designed for one thing: To distract the Community from the fact that they are KILIING EACH OTHER, the permit (which was not investigated by the repoorrrrrrrrter) "jives" wif da po-leece, and that they turned it ugly on purpose, to bring up the "the racist cops are the problem" straw man. Unfortunately, the humanoids that live there likely buy the coalition's argument, because it's easier to believe a convenient lie than an inconvenient truth.

Irvington has been a **** hole for decades. Unless you knew your destination and planned a quick drop off and departure you took your chances.

Irvington’s only open boarder which has caused problems for it is its open boarder with Newark.

The NBPP looks for trouble, it’s the way they stay in the news and recruit.

I can't add a single thought to this incident that would increase its hilarity quotient.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.
