An old Lutheran church, that has mass in German once a month, is being destroyed by fire right now a few blocks from Harvard Square. A sixth alarm has sounded, streets are closed, and some homes may be evacuated. Given that it is Easter Sunday, I can't help but speculate about anti-Christian terrorism. My mother's whole family and half of my Dad's were descended from German Lutheran immigrants. I know all about Massachusetts, and Cambridge, but this was an active and faithful congregation, please pray for them.

The amount of criminal activities and corruption going on in the US today is unimaginable. The Biden government, aided by a corrupt DOJ, is flying planeloads of illegal immigrants from the Southern border to states across the country daily and no one is saying ‘boo’. They are hiding these flights from the public by moving the illegals in the middle of the night. On Thursday night another flight load of illegal aliens boarded a plane in El Paso. Forget about proper identification or COVID-19 vaccines, these people are held to a different standard when compared to the average American. Busses...

Chicago, Illinois – St. Luke’s Lutheran Church of Logan Square hosted a “drag queen prayer hour” for children last weekend.According to the Lutheran church’s Facebook post, “Seminarian Aaron Musser” preached in drag to children as part of “a dress rehearsal for joy.”Also known as grooming.“Today, we consider what it might be like to have a dress rehearsal for the kind of joy awaiting us on the other side of Advent. It’s been so hard to know what that joy will be, because it’s been so long since some of us have been joyful. It’s been a difficult and tiring couple...

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) has taken more steps in it's rapid decline into apostasy as it appointed the denominations first transgender bishop. Megan Rohrer was elected on 8 May to lead the Sierra Pacific Synod of what is the largest Lutheran institution in the United States with 3.3 million baptized members and over 8,900 local congregations. The newly elected bishop will oversee around 200 local congregations in Northern California and Northern Nevada in the next six years, starting in July. It was also announced that the bishop-elect should be addressed with the pronouns "they/their". Rohr was the...

Churchgoers across the country are reasserting their fundamental rights of conscience—rights that too many political leaders have forgotten or denied. On Friday, President Trump said churches and houses of worship are “essential” and called on governors nationwide to allow them to open this weekend. If they don’t, Trump said he would “override” governors, citing forthcoming guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In remarks Thursday, the president criticized some governors who have “deemed liquor stores and abortion clinics as essential” but not churches. “It’s not right. So I’m correcting this injustice and calling houses of worship essential.”Trump is right,...
  • Lutherans Publish New Bible Version That Omits The Word 'Israel'

A recently published translation of the New Testament has one glaring omission: it has purged all references to the place and the people of the Bible. Rabbi Tuly Weisz, who recently published a Hebrew-English version of the Torah, noted that omitting 'Israel' from the Bible is equivalent to failing to mention God. 24NYT, a Danish news service, reported on Sunday that the Danish Bible Society just published a revised translation of the New Testament. The new edition has many surprises, including a new name: the New Agreement. But even more shocking is that the "New Agreement has all but removed...

Police are investigating a Christian politician in Finland for an alleged “hate crime” because she shared a Bible verse on Facebook to criticize a national church that participated in LGBT Pride festivities. In the post, congresswoman Päivi Räsänen, a Christian Democrat, criticized the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland for participating in the Helsinki LGBT Pride events in June. Her criticism was alongside a picture of Romans 1:24-27 that describes same-sex relationships as “shameful.” Her post made Räsänen the subject of a pretrial investigation by the Finnish Police for a suspected incitement against sexual and gender minorities. “The pre-trial investigations have...

Norway's Lutheran Church voted on Monday in favor of allowing same-sex marriage, becoming the latest of a small but growing number of churches worldwide to do so. Last year the French Protestant Church allowed gay marriage blessings, while the U.S. Presbyterian Church approved a change in the wording of its constitution to include same-sex marriage. In a vote at the annual conference of the Norwegian Lutheran Church on Monday 88 delegates out of 115 in total backed same-sex marriage. "Finally we can celebrate love independently of whom one falls in love with," said Gard Sandaker-Nilsen, leader of the Open Public...

ROME (RNS) The Vatican has given its backing to a central Rome square being named after Martin Luther, a church reformer excommunicated by the pope nearly 500 years ago. A German Catholic priest and theologian, Luther was a key figure in the Protestant Reformation and sparked considerable controversy by challenging the authority of the Catholic Church. He denounced the corruption he saw among clergy in Rome and believed salvation came through faith alone — views that did not sit well with Pope Leo X. Luther was excommunicated in 1521 and was never allowed to return to the Catholic Church, but...

Theological Faggoting: Liberation Theology and Theology of Integral Mission Environment Producing Gay Theology in Brazil How to understand the development of the most advanced homosexual theology in Brazil By Julio Severo Introduction When I had already finished this report, a bombshell came: Toni Reis, the founder of ABGLT, gave a speech in a sex education class in the Evangelical College of Paraná, Brazil, in late April 2015. ABGLT, the largest homosexual organization in Brazil, has today consultative status in the United Nations system. Reis filed complaints in 2013 against Rev. Silas Malafaia, the most prominent Assemblies of God minister...

Conservative Lutherans began forging the new body just weeks after the ELCA gave the green light in 2009 for non-celibate gays and lesbians to serve as clergy. Over the last year, hundreds of congregations have moved toward severing ties with the ELCA, which is the largest Lutheran denomination in the country with 4.5 million members. The ELCA experienced its biggest-ever drop in membership last year, with 90,000 less members than the year before. The vote on Friday to forge a new body took place during the annual Convocation of Lutheran CORE, a renewal group that seeks the renewal of Lutheran...

The presiding bishop of the nation's largest Lutheran denomination warned Wednesday that withholding financial support to protest a recent gay clergy vote would be "devastating" to the church. Bishop Mark Hanson laid out his concerns in a letter to leaders of the 4.7 million-member Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, which is based in Chicago. The ELCA churchwide assembly voted last month to allow gays and lesbians in committed relationships to serve as clergy, dropping a requirement that gay clergy remain celibate. The Rev. Mark Chavez, director of Lutheran CORE, said the gay clergy vote was the devastating event — "a...

MEQUON - His family waited for this moment for four years. And so did Vladimir Carville, who walked from Concordia University’s field house into the arms of his father, Pierre. "We did it Dad," Vladimir said. "We did it." Vladimir wasted no time to turn and embrace his mother, Emmanuelle. "It makes me so proud," she said. "I can say this is my day. I am so proud of my son. This is a great day for all of us to rejoice in." It was also a day that Vladimir, now a graduate in exercise leadership, won’t soon forget. "Some...

Many New Yorkers were stunned when a Lutheran minister was suspended recently for praying alongside non-Christians — called "pagans" in a church statement — shortly after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

This action by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, a national denomination known for its conservative views, struck some in this wounded and politically correct region as cold and even unchristian.

You would think that the more militant forms of Islam would be enough to worry about these days, for those inclined to anguish over religious extremism. But no. Apparently the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod deserves our special concern. In late June, the church suspended the Rev. David Benke, the president of its Atlantic District and the pastor of a Brooklyn church, for praying with clerics who don't share the Christian faith.
