Big news: Last week I messaged executives from Coors Light, Molson Coors to let them know that I planned to expose their woke policies. Today they’re preemptively making changes.. Here are the changes: • Ending participation in the @HRC’s woke Corporate Equality Index social credit system. • No more DEI based training programs. • No more donations to divisive events. • Ending ERG groups in favor of BRG groups open to all employees, no longer designed to focus on race or sexual orientation. • No more supplier diversity goals. • No more executive/employee compensation tied to DEI hiring goals. Conservative activist Robby Starbuck has gotten Lowe's, Tractor Supply, Jack Daniel's, and John Deere to retreat from identity-based employee policies and donations to left-wing activism. Hardware retail chain Lowe’s is the latest major brand to announce a retreat from “woke” policies, again driven by pressure from conservative filmmaker Robby Starbuck. Starbuck announced Monday on X that he had notified Lowe’s that he was planning another of his now-trademark exposés against the company’s left-wing corporate policies, to which Lowe’s responded by announcing multiple changes to those policies. Specifically, the company will stop participating in the Corporate Equality Index social credit system...

The home improvement retailer Lowe's has become the latest brand to scrap its support for Pride events and other diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) schemes in the face of consumer boycotts. Lowe's will stop cooperating with the Human Rights Campaign, a major LGBTQ group, and will no longer separate employees into so-called 'resource groups' based on race, religion or sexual identities, according to an internal memo. The company will also stop sponsoring parades, festivals, or fairs, and will instead focus on events related to its business, such as affordable housing and skilled trades education, says the memo. In recent weeks,...

Lowe's cut its annual profit and sales forecasts on Tuesday, echoing bigger rival Home Depot's concerns of a slim chance of a recovery in home improvement demand this year. The U.S. Federal Reserve was expected to cut interest rates earlier this year, but insufficient proof of easing inflation thus far has kept the rates high, which is affecting home sales, and consequently demand for expensive renovation projects. "We're seeing significant implications ... people aren't moving nearly as often as they typically do because current mortgage rates are so much higher," said CEO Marvin Ellison on a post-earnings call. Lowe's expects...

Lowe’s Market in Canyon Lake now sells bullets between its ATM and ice machines. The Sattler store recently placed an American Rounds ammunition vending machine by its entrance. With the swipe of a driver’s license customers can now purchase ammo for handguns, shotguns and rifles. “It’s as secure as going to Walmart or Academy,” said an employee who asked not to be identified. Lowe’s expects to add another vending machine at its Startzville/Canyon Lake location in the near future.

Americans turned into DIY fanatics during the pandemic, beautifying their apartments, homes and condos while they were stuck inside and tired of looking at the same drab interior every day. But the Covid emergency is over, prices are (much) higher, consumers are growing fearful of a recession and people are spending less at Lowe’s and Home Depot. Lowe’s on Tuesday lowered its profit and sales outlook for the year, saying consumers were spending less on home improvement. It comes on the heels of rival Home Depot also posting disappointing sales and a somber forecast last week. “We are updating our...

Bank of America, Lowe's, and Truist Financial Corporation sponsored a United Way critical race theory "Racial Equity 21-Day Challenge" claiming that America is systemically and institutionally racist, encouraging participants to "decolonize [their] mind[s]" and to get "woke at work," and urging white people to "cede power to people of color." Christopher Rufo, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, first revealed the critical race theory challenge, presenting documents he obtained from a whistleblower. Lowe’s, which acquired Orchard Supply last year, says this is the first retail robot of its kind in the U.S. The OSHbot will greet customers, ask if they need help and guide them through the store to the product. Besides natural-language-processing technology, the 5-foot tall white robot houses two large rectangular screens—front and back—for video conferences with a store expert and to display in-store specials. The head features a 3-D scanner to help customers identify items. OSHbot speaks...
