Unknown gunmen killed presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio – running on a strong-on-crime, anti-corruption, anti-China platform – on Wednesday night before a massive crowd outside of a campaign event in Quito, Ecuador. Villavicencio was one of eight candidates vying for the presidency of Ecuador. The election remains scheduled to take place on August 20, the result of current President Guillermo Lasso, a conservative, using a constitutional provision to dissolve the National Assembly (the federal legislature) in May and call for general elections. Lasso claimed the unprecedented measure was necessary because leftist lawmakers’ incessant attempts to impeach him had made the regular...

A copy of a Resolution to remove Kevin McCarthy from his Speakership authored by Matt Gaetz back in September was reportedly found by a left-wing journalist in a restroom inside the Capitol. The Gateway Pundit reported that Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) slammed House Speaker Kevin McCarthy this morning for his “eight months of inaction” on Joe Biden and the Biden Crime Family. Halloween came to the US Senate a few days early on Thursday as Sens. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) re-enacted the famous “Biscuits with the Boss” scene from the first season of “Ted Lasso.” Romney — clad in the recognizable chinos, sweater, whistle and mustache sported by Jason Sudeikis’ titular character in the Emmy-winning Apple TV+ series — tweeted a gif of himself serving a pink box of sweet treats to Sinema, assuming the role of AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton (played by Hannah Waddingham on the show). “Biscuits with the boss,” Romney captioned the gif before tweeting...

Sen. Mitt Romney is adding some pep — and a mustache — to the upper chamber, debuting a "Ted Lasso"-inspired costume for Halloween. The Utah Republican posted an image of himself on Thursday dressed as the Apple TV show's earnest protagonist, complete with a Lasso-ism or two, and a little "Friday Night Lights":

Just watched S2 E3 of Ted Lasso. Very disappointed. Another avenue for possible entertainment destroyed by leftist politics. In short, they created a fictional environmental protest over a sponsor destroying the Nigerian environment, as a proxy for marxist racial protests taking place in sports today. They gave it full support, pushing the same preachy leftism that seems impossible to avoid anywhere now. I’m done with the show.
