Modesto -- Authorities are conducting forensic tests on a 10-inch knife reportedly found at the home where convicted murderer Scott Peterson lived with his now-dead wife, but questions remain about whether it had been planted there recently. The death penalty is too easy for Scott Peterson, who should be forced to rot in prison for years reliving his crime, his former mistress believes. Amber Frey, the willowy blond masseuse whose steely testimony about his web of deceptions sealed his fate, told NBC's Matt Lauer she would have preferred for Peterson to be sentenced to life in prison instead. "I felt life [in prison] gives him every day to live with what has happened," she said in her first interview since her ex-lover's conviction. The interview also came just days before her memoir "Witness: For the Prosecution of...

What will death row be like for Peterson? A considerable amount of mail flows into my cell from people out there in the world asking what it's really like living day-to-day on San Quentin's Death Row.
