In a 5-4 decision, the court’s conservative block of justices granted a temporary injunction requested by a Catholic Diocese and two Orthodox Jewish synagogues. In the Supreme Court Oral Argument on Congressional Subpoenas for President Trump's Financial Records broadcast live, Justice Sonya Sotomayor slipped up and said "WE" are asking for his personal tax returns", while questioning President Trump's lawyer Patrick Strawbridge. The Supreme Court on Friday issued a 5-4 ruling upholding the Trump administration's public charge rule, which withholds green cards from immigrants that are dependant on government welfare programs.
