NEW YORK - As the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and New York City Police Department look to crack down on fare beating, new police numbers reportedly show minorities make up the bulk of people stopped for jumping the subway turnstiles. According to the Daily News, 86 percent of the nearly 700 people arrested from April through June were Black or Latino. Dear Freepers, Can someone please give me some tips on installing my second DVD drive correctly. I have the ribbon cable end on the primary DVD RW drive and it works fine. The second DVD drive is on the middle ribbon cable connector. The jumper on the back of the second DVD drive is on "slave". The compute recognizes the second DVD drive, but I cannot play a DVD in that drive. Any media player I run and try to "open" the movie on the second DVD drive does not "see" it. Any suggestions?

The media has seemed to suppress this (how many poor souls that felt compelled to jump from the burning towers) for whatever reason. I, for one, would like to be armed with some sort of number who leaped to their certain deaths. I have a feeling, due to the "Vietnamization" taking place now, that this tidbit of data might come in handy.......right about the time some clown gets my '5 across the lips'. Anybody have an idea as to the numbers involved here? Thanks in advance.

<p>WASHINGTON (CNN) --Four people were killed when a small plane crashed on takeoff from Greensburg Jeannette Regional Airport in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Sunday afternoon, authorities said.</p>

<p>The Navy said four sailors on the Pearl Harbor-based cruiser Port Royal jumped overboard during a nine-month span, an unusually high number that the ship's command finds hard to explain.</p>
<p>"I can't give you an explanation because I don't know what goes on in the minds of every one of those sailors on a daily basis," said Lt. Cmdr. Brian Fort, executive officer of the Port Royal. "I can tell you that for each one of them, there were some issues that those sailors were working through in their lives."</p>
