<p>The only art in Günter Wandtke's life used to be the tattoos on his forearms, including one of a three-masted ship with "Eva" scrawled beneath it.</p>
<p>Then, watching television late one night a few years ago, the chemical-plant worker saw something that changed his life: Bob Ross, the bushy-haired instructional painter who rose to fame on U.S. public television in the 1980s for his kitschy landscapes and lullaby voice. Mr. Wandtke, 64 years old, says he has painted every day since.</p>
