A member of the same Virginia school board that came under fire for withholding information about students' scholarships has raised eyebrows by saying the Battle of Iwo Jima, a major US victory against the Japan in World War II, was 'evil' and should not have happened. The comments were made Thursday by Fairfax County board member Abrar Omeish, 28, in reference to the Day of Remembrance, a day of observance for the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. The holiday occurs on the same calendar day as the first US landings on the island of Iwo Jima on...

Life often takes us in unexpected directions, but Maria Sue Bell’s life has been more rollicking and full of surprises than most. Back in 1984 and 1985, Bell served in the Army National Guard and was on Army Active Duty until Jan. 31, 1986. In a warning sign of what was to come, the criminal complaint against Bell says that she “received an Other Than Honorable (OTH) Discharge deemed Good for Service in lieu of a Court Martial,” although the reason for this has not been disclosed and has now been overshadowed by far more serious misconduct: Bell was sentenced...

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) said on Sunday that Sen. Joe Manchin’s (D-W.Va.) reasons for not supporting Democrats' social spending bill are "bull----" after the West Virginia moderate shocked lawmakers Sunday by announcing he was a "no" on the legislation. "Let’s be clear: Manchin’s excuse is bull----. The people of West Virginia would directly benefit from childcare, pre-Medicare expansion, and long term care, just like Minnesotans," Omar tweeted. Omar said Manchin's position was what progressive House lawmakers had warned for months — that the Senate did not have all 50 Democratic votes needed to pass Biden's spending package. “This is exactly...

No sooner has Joe Biden reminded us that Islam is a peaceful religion than a Washington, D.C.-area imam comes along to spoil the love fest. Dr. Sulayman Ali Hassan preached a sermon recently at the Shahe Najaf Islamic Center in the D.C. suburb of Alexandria, Virginia, in which he makes it clear that jihad is an obligation on all Muslims and that it has a violent component. Maybe Old Joe, being one of the world’s foremost Islamic clerics, can drop by the Shahe Najaf Islamic Center sometime soon and explain to the good Dr. Hassan how he is misunderstanding Islam....

A Muslim police officer hailed as a role model for bravely confronting anti-lockdown protesters was facing an urgent investigation last night after it was revealed she tweeted a torrent of racist messages and was in regular contact with a suspected female jihadi in Syria. Photographs and film of the petite young officer wearing a hijab on the front line went viral last year, with senior colleagues calling her inspirational. Although she was unnamed at the time, The Mail on Sunday can reveal the police constable is 26-year-old Ruby Begum, who in the months before joining the Metropolitan Police in 2016...

The Democratic congresswoman says she has always been somebody who 'understands how words can be harmful and hurtful to people.' We believe her.The Jews can never seem to live up to Rep. Her answer was...

FBI Knew About the Boulder Shooter But Failed to Stop Him By Leisa Audette | Mar 23, 2021 Where was the FBI? It turns out that the Colorado grocery store shooter Ahmad Alissa was known to the FBI and had ranted online about “racist islamophobes” hacking his phone. The FBI failed to stop another shooting where they knew the gunman but weren’t watching him as he purchased a gun six days ago. The New York Times reports that he was known to the FBI because he was linked to another person who has been under investigation for something else. His...

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minnesota, posted on Twitter that she is assembling documentation to begin impeachment proceedings against President Trump hours after violent Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol. “I am drawing up Articles of Impeachment,” she wrote in a tweet. “Donald J. Trump should be impeached by the House of Representatives & removed from office by the United States Senate. We can’t allow him to remain in office, it’s a matter of preserving our Republic and we need to fulfill our oath.” A mob descended on the Capitol on Wednesday after a speech by the president in which he vowed...

Rep. Ilhan Omar blamed “criminal neglect” on the part of President Trump for her father tragically passing away due to the coronavirus. Omar (D-MN) made the harsh accusations during a conversation with MSNBC. “My father and over 300,000 people have lost their lives to Covid because of dangerous criminal neglect by Trump and his administration,” she said. Nur Omar Mohamed passed away in June due to “complications from Covid-19.” ... Omar also seemed to suggest the President and/or members of his administration should be “prosecuted” for those deaths, citing a memo released earlier in the week by House Majority Whip...

Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) said she resented anyone claiming President Donald Trump was not a racist on Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Live.” In a video clip from lastnight’s Minnesota rally, Trump said, “What is going on with Omar? I have been reading the reports for two years about how corrupt and crooked she is. Then she tells us how to run our country. Can you believe it? How the hell did Minnesota elect her?”

I was surprised and shaken when I read the news recently that a Pakistani court had overturned the conviction of Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, the man convicted of masterminding the abduction of my friend Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in 2002. Saeed did not murder Danny himself, but he did lure him from his home and, one way or another, delivered him to his death. At his trial, Saeed — a militant jihadi who had been previously convicted of a separate kidnapping of Western tourists in India — was found guilty of murder and kidnapping. He was sentenced to...

Syrian President Bashar Assad has gained what's perhaps his most significant strategic victory in the nearly nine-year-old Syrian civil war: the recapture of the all-important M5 highway. It is arguably one of the most coveted prizes in Syria’s civil war, and after eight years of fighting, Syrian President Bashar Assad has got it back. The Damascus-Aleppo highway, or the M5, is known to Syrians simply as the “International Road.” Cutting through Syria's major cities, the motorway is key to who controls the country. Assad gradually lost control over the M5 from 2012, when various rebel groups fighting to topple him...

WASHINGTON: We’ll say it again and again until it sinks in: There is a huge difference between ordinary political dissent and the criminal provision of “aid and comfort” to an enemy. And the Congressional Anti-American Caucus comprised of Muslim anti-Semites Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, along with enablers like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and most other Democrats, demonstrates the difference daily. President Donald Trump’s decision to thump Iran over its incessant sponsorship of terrorist and military activities against the U.S. for more than two decades by killing top Gen. Qassem Soleimani has brought out the worst (best?) examples of treason we’ve seen...

Australia’s rampant and destructive wildfires were started by arson, and fueled by dry conditions and high temperatures, but you’d never know it from the Golden Globes or mainstream media outlets. In November, a teenage volunteer firefighter from New South Wales was charged with setting 7 bushfires in the region, and then returning with his brigade to fight them. Apparently, he has set 17 fires, and the pyromaniac has now been barred from access to any firefighting equipment. ... Police arrested 183 people for lighting bushfires across Queensland, NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania in the past few months. NSW police...

Two dozen people have been arrested for allegedly setting brush fires intentionally that have displaced thousands of people and destroyed wildlife in Australia in recent weeks. "As inquiries continue, police are appealing to the community to provide footage and/or images from phones, dashcam, or other devices that show any of the fires in their infancy, even if only from a distance," police said in a statement. The fires have killed 18 people and destroyed hundreds of millions of animals and livestock, thousands of homes, and more than 4.9 million hectares of land. Those charged with arson could face harsh penalties,...
