As Russia’s war against Ukraine enters its ninth month, Ukrainians in Kyiv have been left without water in their homes. Many have been forced to stand in a line that stretches city blocks for hours each day to pump water from a city well.After the initial Russian strikes, the message pushed to Ukrainians was that Ukraine was not seriously affected by the drone and missile strikes and that what infrastructure was damaged would be repaired and back online in a matter of weeks.
