French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday Donald Trump’s mocking comments about his marriage did not merit a response, calling them “neither elegant nor up to standard”. […] On Wednesday, Trump made fun of the French president and his wife at a private lunch as he lambasted NATO allies for not joining the war against Iran. The US president imitated a French accent and said that Macron’s wife “treats him extremely badly” and that Macron was still “recovering from the right to the jaw”. On a visit to Seoul, Macron, who was accompanied by his wife Brigitte, said Trump’s comments...

Qatar and Ukraine have signed a defence agreement seeking joint expertise on countering threats from missiles and drones, according to Qatar’s Ministry of Defence, as Iran continues attacking its Gulf neighbours. The agreement was made on Saturday during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to Doha, following his stop in the UAE earlier in the day. Earlier on Saturday, Zelenskyy said Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates had also agreed to cooperate on defence, a day after signing a deal with Saudi Arabia during his visit to the kingdom on Thursday.

According to Catherine Vautrin, France is taking a "defensive" position, seeking a diplomatic solution, particularly regarding the Strait of HormuzPARIS, March 27. /TASS/. The United States launched its own military campaign against Iran without consulting allies and now demands that everyone join them, not exactly the best way to foster cooperation, French Armed Forces Minister Catherine Vautrin told Cnews. "When the war began on March 1, the US did not see fit, for example, to call France to share their plans, <...> they acted alone, and today they are asking everyone to join them," she said. According to her, France...

https://x.com/RealTraderJill/status/2033952602447061135 TraderJill (Leigh)@RealTraderJill·Mar 17It's time to educate the cowardly, retarded Brits and Canadians coming at me in my NATO post. Trust me, weaklings, you need us far more than we need you!🤣✏️Pull up a chair, because class is in session:NATO's charter (Article 5) only covers attacks on members in Europe/N. America - that's true. But claiming it "doesn't allow help with Iran" is dishonest.NATO ditched the pure-defense straitjacket decades ago:•Bombed Kosovo 1999 without UN approval.•Turned Libya 2011 civilian protection mandate into regime change.•Ran 20-year offensive ops in Afghanistan. They act as aggressors/out-of-area interveners whenever they feel like it. The Iran "no"...

NATO allies, he wrote, privately agreed that Iran could not be allowed a nuclear weapon but refused to help when asked. America no longer needs or desires their assistance. We never did. Let that land. This is not bluster. It is a doctrine. Trump is telling every European government that the Article 5 guarantee they have sheltered under for seventy years was always conditional, and that they have now demonstrated they will not honour their side of the arrangement when it matters. The mutual defence alliance that kept the peace in Europe since 1949 has just been publicly declared a one...

U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday told reporters he had a "very good call" with Russian President Vladimir Putin about Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East. "There's tremendous hatred between President Putin and (Ukraine's) President Zelenskiy. They can't seem to get it together, but I think it was a positive call on that subject," Trump said. Trump added that Putin "wants to be helpful" with the Iran conflict. "I said, 'You could be more helpful by getting the Ukraine-Russia war over with. That will be more helpful,'" Trump told reporters in a press conference at his Florida golf...

Britain's aircraft carrier could require a French escort to the Middle East as there are not enough Royal Navy ships to do the job. HMS Prince of Wales has been upgraded to advanced readiness, as criticism mounts over Britain's military response to the conflict with Iran. This means that the crew of the £3billion ship, currently undergoing repairs in Portsmouth, must be ready to sail with five days' notice.

WASHINGTON – Democrats’ counterprogramming event to President Trump’s State of the Union address was hijacked by MAGA supporters and liberals dressed up like frogs — chirping “ribbit.” Activists and lawmakers held dueling events on Tuesday night to present their counterargument to the president. Some speakers were there to entertain, some to rally the troops ahead of the November midterm election and some charged that Trump was lying to the American people. “I’m not at the State of the Union speech tonight, because you’re not going to hear about the State of the Union. You are going to hear lie after...

French judge Jezabel Dabouis sparked fury this week after allegations she 'rigged' her votes to help her country to Winter Olympics gold, in turn voting down Americans Madison Chock and Evan Bates, who eventually ended up with the silver. In the past 24 hours, more than 14,000 fans have signed a Change.org petition calling for the IOC and International Skating Union to intervene and...

The Louvre museum in the French capital, Paris, is hiking its ticket prices for most non-European visitors by 45 per cent. The famous institution was the scene last year of a daring heist which saw robbers get away with jewels worth over a $100 million dollars, blamed in part on its deteriorating state. "I want visitors from outside the EU to pay more … and for that surcharge to go towards funding the renovation of our national heritage," Culture Minister Rachida Dati said announcing the hikes in 2024. But France’s decision to increase entry costs to the help fund much-needed...

Civilisational decline happens slowly at first, and then all at once. Britain has not been this weak and irrelevant on the global stage since the early 1500s; France and Germany are facing equally severe existential crises. It took Donald Trump to call our bluff, exposing our impotence and insignificance to a world we once dominated. British and European politicians cannot stop Trump from buying Greenland, or kidnapping Latin American tyrants, or taking out the Mullahs’ evil nuclear programme, or sanctioning Left-wing international judges, or doing whatever else he wants. Eighty-one years after the end of the Second World War, the...

A Paris court found Monday 10 people guilty of cyberbullying France's first lady, Brigitte Macron, by spreading false online claims about her gender and sexuality, including allegations she was born a man. One defendant was sentenced to six months in prison, while eight were handed suspended sentences between two and eight months. All 10 were mandated to attend cyberbullying awareness training. The court pointed to "particularly degrading, insulting, and malicious" comments referring to false claims regarding alleged trans identity and alleged pedo criminality targeting Brigitte Macron. France is threatening to arrest British activists trying to stop migrants leaving French beaches on small boats bound for England. Sources close to Laurent Nunez, the French interior minister, said he wanted to see the Britons arrested for possible obstruction and aggravated violence. It follows a series of vigilante-style actions by Britons from the Raise the Colours movement, which encourages the widespread public display of flags bearing the Union Flag and St George’s Cross. Raise the Colours activists have published videos online of what they describe as “civilian border control” or “Operation Stop the Boats”. The films show them wading...
