WASHINGTON – Democrats’ counterprogramming event to President Trump’s State of the Union address was hijacked by MAGA supporters and liberals dressed up like frogs — chirping “ribbit.”
Activists and lawmakers held dueling events on Tuesday night to present their counterargument to the president. Some speakers were there to entertain, some to rally the troops ahead of the November midterm election and some charged that Trump was lying to the American people.
“I’m not at the State of the Union speech tonight, because you’re not going to hear about the State of the Union. You are going to hear lie after lie,” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) told the “People’s State of the Union” rally on the National Mall.
But, across Washington D.C., at the National Press Club, adults dressed as frogs dominated the room. Members of the audience embraced the theme, with many donning frog hats to get into the spirit.
And they yelled “ribbit, ribbit, ribbit” to praise the speakers, who included actor Robert De Niro.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey – who famously said “f–k ICE” – tried to rally the activists ahead of the midterm election.
“Capture back that flag. Reclaim the meaning of patriotism,” he said. “Now is the time to step forward to organize to vote to serve, to run, and to build.”
Other speakers were there to entertain, including artist Robby Roadsteamer, who took to the stage dressed in his signature cow costume and bragged about being arrested by Immigration and Custom Enforcement agents.
Miles Taylor, the former Trump staffer who wrote the infamous “anonymous” op-ed in the New York Times, organized the “State of the Swamp” event and explained the frog theme, noting they were the symbol of the swamp.

They think that a SOTU address is equivalent to a football half-time show. Well, it isn’t, and there is something called a post-SOTU address response to give the opposition some time to give their official opinion. They chose to look childish. Did they even have a rebuttal? Oh, okay, Spanberger. Did anyone bother to listen to her? After all they had dancing frogs for entertainment before they raced to their computers/staff for funding email creation.

Those people lost sight of their responsibility to their constituents - that their behavior doesn't just reflect back on themselves but everyone they've been entrusted to REPRESENT back home.
But we're talking about folks who who utter the word "pride" when speaking of a shame, mislabel mental illness as "lifestyle choice" and facilitate the poisoning of young people's minds and bodies.

There’s a podcaster named Matt Morse who is originally from Portland, and he says the frogs are a well-known Antifa symbol there. He said, “this is Antifa.”

What we are witnessing is the sad attempt by democrats/liberals trying to connect with the youth. They figure using Pepe the frog will convince young people they are hip and trendy. I remember when Pepe was called a hate symbol (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTQLaLwz88Y&t=42s) It is really just sad to see.
In that last pic, the red one has AMPHIFA written on it. There it is.
I saw that. Pretty much says it all.
I searched “AMPHIFA” ... seems it’s a Democratic Underground (hah!) thing; it means “Amphibians Against Fascism”. I suppose it’s a branch of “AntiFa”, for commies even stupider than the usual commies.
