This editor just finished a post on CNN’s epic-length piece consulting drag scholars and historians about America’s rich history of drag shows, arguing that this history might prevent current efforts to push drag “underground”; i.e., away from children. Liberals like to play deaf: They opposed the “Don’t Say Gay” law that kept sex education out of kindergarten classes. They’re all for “all-ages” drag shows and “drag camp” for kids. They want minors to be able to consent to “gender-affirming care” that alters their bodies for life. It’s the children, stupid. We wish we knew this representative’s name, but here she...

A federal court ruling over a ban on women going topless in public has essentially made it legal for women to go topless in public in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Kansas, and Oklahoma, according to a local TV station. The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, which is over those six states, struck down the topless ban in Ft. Collins, Colo. after two women sued the city for the right to go topless in public. Since Ft. Collins is not appealing the decision (the next step would be the Supreme Court), that means topless bans in those six states are...

Yoga pants are under attack. Lately, they have been a hot topic on Facebook, blogs and other corners of the web. Some say they are too tight. Others complain that we, as a society, have lost all sense of modesty. The question has been posed: Should women wear yoga pants in public? For one state legislator in Montana, the struggle against yoga pants is real. No. Seriously. From the Billings Gazette:

CONCORD, New Hampshire — Penalties for indecent exposure and the legality of abortions are on tap for the New Hampshire House. Lawmakers are scheduled to debate these and several other issues during Wednesday's legislative session, beginning at 10 a.m. A committee recommends passing a bill that would make indecent exposure or lewdness in front of a minor a felony rather than a misdemeanor. By a vote of 10-4, the House Judiciary Committee recommends killing a bill "providing life begins at conception," which would outlaw abortion. Several bills aimed at limiting access to abortions are before the House this session.

The case of the Naked Guy -- the Fairfax County man arrested for being naked inside his own house last fall -- is starting to sprout some serious legal wings, after Fairfax police officers testified Friday that they had no warrant when they entered the man's house, and then approached him with their guns drawn as he slept, with pants on, in his bed. SAN FRANCISCO -- What is moral turpitude? U.S. 9th Circuit Judge Stephen Reinhardt says society will never agree on a precise definition for the squishy legal concept that characterizes a depraved person. The court ruled Wednesday that indecent exposure, for one, does not necessarily qualify. The appeals court ruled 2-1 in the case of Victor Ocegueda Nunez, an immigrant from Mexico who faced deportation because of a 2003 indecent exposure conviction in Northern California. . . . The court ordered an immigration judge to determine whether the specific circumstances of Nunez's case qualify as moral turpitude.
