Went to see the new Top Gun last night with my hot girlfriend. The first time I saw the original I was in Air Force Tech School and went to see it with my wing man at the mall in Henderson KY. This was of course, smack dab in the middle of the 80s when the movie really meant something. I had expected this to flop like the remake of Red Dawn because in large part due to the context of the time, then and now. But I was disproved, thank goodness, read on. I wanted to like this movie...
